The bible deals with words like;

Elect

Foreknowledge

Chosen

predestined

The bible clearly teaches these concepts all throughout scripture.anyone who pretends it doesnt,or misinterperates these passages on purpose,is not being honest,or doesnt want to acknowledge All of gods teachings

The bible is clear that none of us deserve salvation except through the blood of Christ!

It is also clear that not everyone goes to heaven.

It is also clear that most wont go to heaven.

whats different about the few who find it.

Nothing!

The lord said"I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy"

so it is by grace alone we are saved, through faith, and not of works,so no man can boast!

there is nothing good in us that makes us merit the eternal kingdom.

Thank God its not left up to me.:rocknroll:

In Christ

Steve

I have never heard you present the Gospel, I have heard you say what is the Gospel that is another topic, All I do is respond to you in like manner as you, so tell me.

When you will publicly agree the word of God is true we have something to talk about, your actions indicate the word of God is not true.

It is not me that does not agree with John 3333333333333333333333333333:16, when hav you heard me say this is not true?

LOL.

You just prove my point. You come on spewing hate and quoting out of context to try to prove your point without addressing any of the scriptures you have been given. Tell me, PJ, how do you reconcile John 3:16 to Romans 9? If you can't then you misunderstand the meaning. The whole bible, in context. Stop picking and choosing which verses you want to believe. They are all in harmony, show me how they fit together, if you can.

It is very Simple Leon, you stick with the topic, and you do not manipulate the word for your own doctrine,

Romans 9 has nothing to do with believing who Jesus died for, nor how one enters the family of God.

Leon that is very interesting how you think a passage of scripture, denys the whole word of God.

Very interesting.

What would you have us to believe Romans 9 declares to the world?

Nice try PJ, but you still are avoiding the subject. If you can't explain how the two reconcile with each other, then you are wrong, not the bible.....YOU. Good try.

Are you afraid to debate? Is that why you just smear and insult without any reason? Let's debate, but I asked you a question that you will not answer. If you can't answer it, there is no sense in us debating, this is bible 101.

Their is no debate Leon, debate is nothing but strife, nor was my response a tactic, it is the simple truth.

If one w as to study the epistle of Romans in entirety, in a spirit of meekness they would never refer to ch 9 as it has been presented in this post.

The same bible that speaks of the elect, foreordained, foreknowledge, chosen ones, also speaks of the law of faith, and the part faith is to play in the life of the believer.

Jesus said it clearly unless you do these sayings of mine, your house is built upon sand and it will never stand the storms of this life.

James says it like this: James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this mans religion is vain.

It is never a game with me Leon it is life and my privilege to know the word of life.

What soever is not of faith is sin.

PJ,

You are not going to discuss the word, are you? You throw out some more verses that have nothing to do with the subject and talk some more trash. How many Pastors have you seen do this? If you have seen any, I will say they were not called by God.

We are supposed to discuss the word, or do you not understand what iron sharpens iron means?

How many chances have you had now to show what you think these verses mean and you are scared to? You should be scared. You are placing man above God. Your will above His will.

I do in every instance, but I learned the tactic years ago, it is quit common among those that, try to perpetuate their own doctrine.

They will never acknowledge scripture, and it is very common for them to be full of mockery

No time have i not acknowledge not one time, but I am very aware of your continual tactic of such,

You have yet to prove that the word of God is not true as you proclaim.
