Not the woman. Not the government. And Jesus speaks against divorce. In the Bible, Jesus said that Moses permitted you to divorce your wives. (Matthew 19:8) He did not say that it is a woman's choice. Man is the head, not the woman, and it is not the woman's choice, and Jesus says not to do it. A woman has no Bible authority to divorce. It is taking authority not given her. Nor is it given government. The husband writes the certificate of divorce. This against God's wishes and Jesus' wishes. But it is permitted under the Law of Moses. Under the Law of Moses, woman is not permitted to write a certificate of divorce nor is government. Only a husband is given this authority. Divorce should not even exist. But only the husband has authority in the Bible to write a certificate of divorce PERIOD! Anything else is not in the scripture. Deuteronomy 24:1-4 24 If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, 2 and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, 3 and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, 4 then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Do not bring sin upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance. Post Reply

Now a woman can become a man, and as a man, she can make those decisions. Yes, it is a Flip-Flop Topsy-Turvy World where right is wrong and wrong is right, where male is female, and female is male. But Isaiah the prophet said woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who exchange darkness for light and light for darkness and to put a woman over a man is doing just that. Post Reply

Where does it say in the Bible that a woman has the authority to divorce her husband? Where in the Bible does God give government the authority to separate a man and his wife other than for the call to military service? And where in the Bible did God give government the authority over marriage and divorce? NO WHERE! Post Reply
