The Revelation of : 'My Way is the Only Way'

What does it reveal when a person says or has the attitude 'My way is the only way'. The Catholics, Calvinists, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and the Muslims say you are at risk of going to hell if you don't believe as them, with the exception on the Muslims, they will do their best to send you to hell.

Now a observant reader might say, 'Hey, hold on, don't we who profess Jesus as the only way do the same thing?'....Did Jesus say "My way is the only way"?...No. Jesus said 'I AM the way'....No one comes to the Father except through me. Therefore it is important that we preach Jesus, not doctrine; my way isn't the way, Jesus IS the way.

This is where the world sees its chance to be more Godly than God by being fair, equal and tolerant to all by professing there are many paths to God. To this I must agree, however every path to God goes through Jesus.

So to answer the question: What does it reveal when a person says 'My way is the only way'? To me it reveals they are not focused on Jesus who said "I AM the way"

What does it reveal to you?

Or, other comments and things I left out?

Additions, corrections, insults?....lol

Saints - Sinners. We become "His" sheep when we believe.

Ryan - But it says He died for the sheep. So you are saying He died for those that would later believe?

Christ died for anyone who will believe.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. -Isaiah 53:6

Isaiah tells us that all of us have gone astray and have turned to our own ways. This is descriptive of any sinner. God laid on Christ the iniquity of all of us. We're a bunch of dumb sheep who need a Shepherd. The thing about this verse is that all people have gone astray. All people are lost sinners. And Christ bore the sins of all that have gone astray, which is all sinners because all sinners have gone astray. Christ did not bear the iniquity of a select amount, but for us all. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; So if all have sinned, and Isaiah says the Lord has laid on Christ the iniquity of all, then Christ indeed did bear the sins of all, which means He died for all sinners. Before we came to belief in Christ, we were still referred to as sheep, just lost sheep. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.-1 Peter 2:25

So to answer your question, yes, Christ died for those that would later believe. Although you and I are believers now, we weren't always believers. Yet Christ died for us before we became believers.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

Ryan wrote - "No I believe like the scriptures presented said. He died for those that would believe"

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. - 2 Corinthians 5:14

Ryan, ask yourself this.. Are ALL dead in sin? Including those who will believe and those who will not believe? Paul tells us that Christ died for all and all were dead.

Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. - Romans 5:18,19

Through one, Adam's sin, judgment came upon all men. Would you agree that the judgment that came upon all men includes all men who have ever or will be born, or just those who are to be elect? Paul contrasts this with the death of Christ. One man's sin and sin entered every man born. One mans righteousness offers all men justification through His death. You can't take those verses and say all [are sinners] and all [He died for all] really means all [are sinners] and some [He died for some].
