Mt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. It always amazes me how somehow some come up with the Statement Jesus requires you to repent of all your sins. Why do you suppose Jesus never preached that? Jesus came that man would no longer have to be separated from God, the father's desire was to redeem man from Satan's dominion's and all his curses. The church's message to the world is very simple 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2nd Cor. 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2nd Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Post Reply
SilverFire View Profile History	The Gospel For Trucker and Mr Row Posted : 14 Sep, 2010 07:53 PM *blinks a few times* I have no earthly idea how you can possibly appreciate all that Jesus has done for you without changing your mind about your behavior and admitting you were messed up and going another direction -- which is what Jesus calls us to do anyways. We are to be fruitful and we can't be fruitful if we don't change our ways and do as He commands. This changing of the ways is repentance. Who in the world follows Christ and thinks that what they were doing before they met Him was ok? Post Reply

Getting back to the post and on the topic, what I have said is simply the Gospel is not asking sinners to repent of their sins as you have said. I have never disagreed with the topic of Repentance and it's biblical meaning. Post Reply

He trys to say that Gospel is telling sinners to repent of their sins, and I pointed out that is not the Gospel, as a matter of fact it is the opposite of the gospel to a lost person. Post Reply

View Profile History	The Gospel For Trucker and Mr Row Posted : 16 Sep, 2010 04:20 PM Knowing the fruits of an individual is not judgment, exhorting others to represent the Gospel accurately is totally in line with scripture. Gross error can easily cause someone to react in error to the Gospel, do you consider that to be important? The ongoing critical remarks of some are simply strife, and that brings every evil work do you believe that honors the lord? My question is why have you not responded to Mr Row? Post Reply
