The bible deals with words like;

Elect

Foreknowledge

Chosen

predestined

The bible clearly teaches these concepts all throughout scripture.anyone who pretends it doesnt,or misinterperates these passages on purpose,is not being honest,or doesnt want to acknowledge All of gods teachings

The bible is clear that none of us deserve salvation except through the blood of Christ!

It is also clear that not everyone goes to heaven.

It is also clear that most wont go to heaven.

whats different about the few who find it.

Nothing!

The lord said"I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy"

so it is by grace alone we are saved, through faith, and not of works,so no man can boast!

there is nothing good in us that makes us merit the eternal kingdom.

Thank God its not left up to me.:rocknroll:

In Christ

Why come you guys keep repeating over and over the same information about predestination, election, chosen, called, free will, etc.

I mean there is only so much that can be said, and God has said it all. Is it that you guys have doubts about your own salvation? Or is it that you really don't understand how all th works/

I'm with GJ, you guys keep going around and around in circles, on the same word topics.Predestination/chosen/called/elect all mean the same as these words relate to salvation.

Of course, that your choices, but if you are in need of help understanding what God has already said about salvation in scripture, I will do my best to assist you with what the scriptures says. And try to explain what some of these articles are saying which is also repeat from one writer to another.

So if you're serious is discussing predestination and the topics you are posting, lets discuss with substance the ingredients of these topics and meanings of these words everybody is throwing out. Isn't this final word of predestination/ election/chosen/called all about salvation? And ALL who believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him by faith reap the rewards of such?

If not, in your own words, then how does Predestination work?

Sorry, Steve for butting in on your thread, but I'm getting worried that maybe there is not a clear understanding of the scriptures or words or articles up in herrrrr. just trying to help out:rocknroll::peace:

No James it is not about man being in charge but is about the word of God and the word as truth, and the lord showing mankind the way to salvation and the rejection of all Calvinist points of unbelief,

Since the Calvinist proclaim few will make it in to heaven, in complete denial of the word of God, one could only conclude, few Calvinist will make it in, but I would they would all believe and accept the word of God rejecting the word of man.

I am going with the many, thank God!!

Hello every one:

Here are a few verses that deal with this subject, and about there being a remant/few being saved.

Romans 9:27;Isaiah alos cries concerning Israel,Though the number of the children be as sand of the sea,a remnant shall be saved.

1st Peter 4:18 And if the Righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear.

Romans 11:5-6 ( This is about Israel )

Even then there is at this present time also there is a remnant according to the Election of Grace.

And if by Grace, then it is no more of works, otherwise Grace is no more Grace.

I hope everyone has a Blessed week:

Agape' and Charis;

Chesed and Shalom;

George

We agree with the bible salvation by faith, Eph 2: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 3:2 7 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

God gives us the faith along with the grace. Grace is what saves, we have faith because it is a gift from God.

PJ, why did you stop with the Eph. scripture? Was it because the next verse discusses something you deny from God's word?

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

I thought you said the bible didn't talk about being preordained. What does this verse say?

No Leon you do not see me deny God's word that is your habit, I know the word of God is true, but of course do not agree with your unbelief in it.

Do you understand these terms you like to throw around, no you do not by your response.

Yeah Leon, thats funny how he stopped right before verse 10

people like him always do,they are afraid of the whole scripture.

Im glad I dont have to put god into a "steve" box,and I can just take him for his word

most people dont study and read the whole bible.

they just repeat what they hear from feel good watered down, easy peazy, only talk about Jesus love, preachers that leave out all the hard sayings that are all the way through the bible.

It is god who chooses who to save,it is God who regenerates the heart of his sheep.

Man always wants to elevate himself

Like P.J. for example, likes to think he is some kind of messenger from God because his buddy Mr. Finney told him so.

Who is it that will not respond to the Gospel Steve, it has never been but you in every occasion.

Christians are messengers, that believe the word of God and thus proclaim.

You have never heard me proclaim Calvin, he is no man's saviour.

PJ,

People might actually take you seriously if you would actually do more than put people down and deny God's word. You have been given thousands of scriptures here on the forum and have yet to address even one of them. Why? Because you can't. They are truth. They are God's word. As long as you pick the verses you want to believe and act like the rest don't exist, you will be nothing more than the joke of the forums. First you need to learn context. Every scripture I have seen you use is out of context. Repent! Ask God to forgive you for denying His word, and He will.

Leon
