False Prophetic Richard is a classic but tragic example of one practicing anti-biblical false beliefs which may influence sever consequences in the lives of others.
So let’s look at Richard’s false beliefs regarding veterans and others who put their lives on the line every day protecting others from harm.
Let’s see how Richards false beliefs have consequences.
Consequences on Jesus.
Richard thinks Jesus promoted pacifism. Richard forgets how Jesus **forcibly and violently** cleared the Temple of cheaters and false teachers.
Jesus was no pagan pacifist like Richard.
Consequences on historic Christian figures like Charles Spurgeon and others.
Richard thinks because some Godly men opposed certain stupid wars they were pacifists opposing all war. But Charles Spurgeon made his distinctions clear, there is a time for war, especially when evil men rise to victimize the helpless.
Charles Spurgeon was no pagan pacifist like Richard.
Consequences on crime victims.
Since Richard obtusely misapplies Jesus’ words “turn the other cheek”, Richard thusly thinks that Jesus was teaching pacifism and telling law enforcement officials and soldiers to lay down their weapons in the face of evil and simply turn the other cheek.
Such absurdity is practically unheard of and fortunately rare!!
Much more could be said about Richards false beliefs.
But who would you rather have to protect your loved ones? A false prophetic like Richard who would **falsely quote** Jesus words **out of context**??!! Or would you prefer a Veteran soldier, police or even President Donald Trump who upholds our military and police to do the work of Jesus by protecting the weak and vulnerable ???
I’m sure that’s an easy call for many.
What the false prophet Richard doesn’t understand is that there is such a thing as **passive behavior** that results in the **perpetuation of violence**.
For example, **pacifist inaction** results in victimization!! Therefore Pagan Pacifists like Richard and violent persons ultimately act in concert. Pacifist inaction is necessary for the continuation of evil activity!! So the violent person is free to act out his misdeeds in the mist of pagan pacifists who will do nothing to stop them
So the relationship between **pacifist inaction and violent action** is a condition in which violence and crime thrive
Richard misquotes Jesus and assumes Jesus is against ALL oaths. This false notion would make Paul the Apostle a disobedient believer because Paul took an oath!!!
Actually Paul did not make an **OATH** but he did purify himself along with 4 Jews who had taken an oath. This took place**BEFORE** the Gospel of Matthew 5:33-37 concerning the elimination of all **VOWS and **OATHS** had been written about AD 65. And so the Jews were still under OT Law.
Acts 21:20-26: They said to Paul: You see brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the {OT} Law. They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs. What shall we do? They will certainly hear that you have come, so do what we tell you. There are four men with us who have made a **VOW**. Take these men, join in their purification rites and pay their expenses, so that they can have their heads shaved. Then everybody will know there is no truth in these reports about you, but that you yourself are living in obedience to the law. As for the Gentile believers, we have written that they should abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. {These were the only NT laws to be obeyed before the inspired New Testament was written!} The nest day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went to the temple to give notice of the days of purification would end and the offering would be made for each of them.
The inspired words of the NT were inspired by God between AD 50 and AD 96 and the 4 Gospels were written about AD 65 including Matthew 5:33-37!! And so all of the approximately 400 NT commands were not completed and in force until Around AD 96.
When you join the military and become a professional killer you must make a **VOW** that you will obey all the commands of your commanding officer. And so if He commands you to drop an Atomic Bomb that will kill about 100,000 civilians including about 25,000 innocent children you must obey this command!!!
The following **OATH** is given by a officer in the US army to be repeated by all army recruits while they raise their right hand:
I, _____, do solemnly *SWEAR* that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. **SO HELP ME GOD**."
What is the OT command concerning *VOWS* and *OATHS*?? Numbers 30:2: Moses said, "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a *VOW* to the Lord or takes an *OATH* to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said!"
What are the NT commands concerning making *VOWS* and **OATHS*??
James 5:12: "ABOVE ALL, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or **YOU WILL BE CONDEMNED**!"
Matthew 5:33-37: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said to your people long ago {Numbers 30:2 above}, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' BUT I tell you, Do not swear at all....Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No, 'No'; anything beyond this comes **FROM THE EVIL ONE**!!"
And so every oath that you swear to is **CONDEMNED* and is **FROM THE EVIL ONE** in the New Testament era!!
Ephesians 6:14-17: Stand firm then, with belt of Truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the **GOSPEL OF PEACE**. in addition to all this, take up the shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the arrows of the Evil One. Take the helmet of Salvation and the **SWORD OF THE SPIRIT**, which is the **WORD OF GOD**!!
Would be interesting to see any New Testament Scripture which claims that it is OK to swear to an Oath and to kill your enemies!!
Jesus did clear the Temple of the evil money changers since everyone was still under OT laws until the inspired New Testament laws were written.
LOL. My mom was the kind to shoot and ask questions later. If you have a gun or other weapon, even your own body through Martial arts, it is likely some will not take the bait. Who got picked on by bullies? the weak or passive..Also, if a coyote or wolf in in your path, don't run but stand your ground and show them you are not going down without a fight and you are essentially a pack leader!
"God Bless All the Veterans who fought for this Country! Those who fought in the past and those, who are active duty now. We Honor You All."
**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY**??
Their about 400 NT laws to be obeyed with *LOVE* in the hope of countless eternal rewards for faithful and loving service has replaced the 613 OT laws.
In the OT God ordered Israel to kill their enemies many times and God helped them do it. However in the NT Jesus commands, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also." Luke 6:27-29
Leviticus 26:7,8: God said to Israel, "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the SWORD before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the SWORD before you!" Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!" etc etc
HOWEVER IN THE NEW COVENANT, JESUS SAYS, "ALL WHO DRAW THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD!"
Jesus said to His 11 Apostles, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. For it is written: "And He was numbered with the transgressors"{Isaiah 53:12} and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in Me. Yes, what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment." The disciples said, "See Lord, here are 2 {Not 11}swords." "That is enough." Jesus replied.
Matthew 26:30-34: They seized Jesus and arrested Him. With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "For *ALL* who draw the sword will die by the sword...But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"
And so the only reason that Jesus allowed the disciples to have 2 swords was so that the Scripture in Isaiah 53:12 would be fulfilled: "He was numbered among the transgressors."
Jesus said to Pilate, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But **NOW** My Kingdom is from another place!"
Former OT commands in Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
This was changed by these NT commands by Jesus:
Matthew 5:38,39: Jesus commands, "You have heard that it was said {In Exodus 21:23-25 above}, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn to him the other also!"
Luke 6:27-29: Jesus commands, "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you. do not demand it back!"
Romans 12:18-21: If it is possible, as far as it DEPENDS ON YOU, LIVE AT PEACE WITH EVERYONE! Do not take revenge my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written, "It is mine to revenge, I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head" Do not be overcome by evil but OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD!!
2 Corinthians 10:3,4: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are *NOT* the weapons of the world."
The only weapons that NT saints may use who follow the New Covenant commands of Jesus is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. A NT saint would not even think of joining the army of any nation and becoming a professional killer or defending himself with a gun. Unfortunately very few Groups such as the Amish and Mennonites still obey these sacred commands of Jesus.
I John 2:3-5: "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His {Jesus'} commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what He {Jesus} commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in him."
The inspired words of the NT were inspired by God between AD 50 and AD 96 and the 4 Gospels were written about AD 65 And so all of the approximately 400 NT commands were not completed and in force until Around AD 96.

Looks like Cupcakeme and Little David have No Testament Scripture to support her beliefs!!
Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple when they were still under OT law.

James 4:1-4: What causes fights among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but you do not have, so you kill. You covet but cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God!
John 18:36: Jesus says, " My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were my servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now My Kingdom is from another place!!"
Matthew 5:43-45: Jesus says, You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' {As per Lev 19:18} But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven!"
