I will take the liberty to draw from some examples in life to help illustrate this thread..
I am sure most of you have at some point in your lives seen a movie or documentary about prisoners on death row.
"Dead Man walking!...Dead Man walking" the jailer shouts out as a prisoner is led to the electric chair, aka"'Ol Sparky".
And why did they say that? because the man was dead already.
Likewise, there are alot of people today who are unsaved and on their way to eternal death and separation from God.They are dead yet still live.
John 5:24-43 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Jesus is our Propitiation. (Romans 3:25. 1 John 2:2. 1 John 4:10) A sacrifice one time for all. (Hebrews 10:12) God manifested in the flesh ( 1 timothy 3:16, 1 John 4:2, Hosea 13:4, Mark 12:32, Isaiah 45:21, 2 John 1:7), who was begotten of the Father (John 1:18 John 3:16 John 1:14), was born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:34), to save the world (John 3:16), to reconcile us back to the Father (Colossians 1:20,Ephesians 2:16) because of Adam's sin which separated us..(Genesis 3:24 Isaiah 59:1-2)
Jesus being without sin but in the likeness of sinful flesh (Romans8:3) was crucified under Pontius Pilate (Mark 15:15) and hung on a tree -cursed is he who hangs on a tree. (cross) Galatians 3:13)
His shed blood is our atonement for the forgiveness of sins.( Romans 5:11, Matthew 26:28)
He died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day. ( John 2:19, 2 Corinthians 5:15, Matt.17:23, Matt.16:21, Matt. 20:19, Mark 9:31, Acts 10:40)
He ascended up to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Acts 7:55-56, Romans 8:34,Ephesians 1:20, Colossians 3:1)
If we confess that Jesus is Lord and believe the Gospel that has been preached then we will be saved. (Romans 10:9, 1 John 4:15)
His perfect sacrifice was accepted by the Father to atone for the sins of the world.(Romans 1:4, Hebrews 9:11-12)
He is our High Priest. (Hebrews 4:14-15 Hebrews 6:20)
We are justified and righteous because of the righteousness that has been imputed to us by his Son when we believed on him and will not see the wrath of the Father but have eternal life with him. John 3:16, Romans 10:9 , 1 Corinthians 15 1-4.
2 Peter 1:3-11: His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption of the world caused by evil desires. Ephesians 6:8: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will **REWARD** everyone for what ever good he does!
Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, “Behold I am coming soon! My **REWARD** is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!”
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, “The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and **THEN** He will **REWARD** each person according to what he has done!”
2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your FAITH GROWETH exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
14 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
The KINGSHIP of GOD Almighty is at hand, CHANGE your mind from UNBELIEF to FAITH in the Gospel.
Matthew 24:1-3: Jesus left the Temple and was walking away when Hid disciples came up to to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" Jesus asked, "Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left on another; every one will be thrown down!" As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us, they said, "{Question #1} When will this happen, and {Question #2} what will be the sign of your Coming and the **END** of the age?"
The **PRETERISTS** believe this was only 1 Question??
The Mount of Olives Prophecies and answers to these 2 questions by Jesus are in Matthew 24 and 25 Mark 13 and Luke 21. However the answer to Question {#1} as to when the Temple will be completely destroyed in AD 70 is only answered in Luke 21:20-24 below when Jesus warns His saints to flee to the mountains, and Matthew 24:34 only confirms that the Temple and Jerusalem will be destroyed within a generation and they were in AD 70.
Luke 21:20-24: Jesus prophesied, "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its destruction is near {In AD 70}. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out and let those in the countrynot enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written {See Daniel 9:26}... Ther will be great distress in the land against this people. They {The Jews} will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. {This prophecy was **FULFILLED** when the Jews took over East Jerusalem on May 14th, AD 1948 and completed when the Jews took over West Jerusalem form the Jordanian Gentiles on June 7th AD 1967 almost 1900 years later!
All of the other prophecies by Jesus in the Mount of Olives prophecies in Matthew 24 and 25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 refer to Question #2 "What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age? will be completed by the 42-month {See Rev 13:4-10 below} Great Tribulation just before the Second Coming of Jesus on the Last Day when all of his saints will be resurrected and receive their new heavenly bodies immediately followed by the resurrection of the Lost and Judgement Day in Matthew 25:31-46
**SUCH AS** Matthew 24:9-13 which prophesies the great falling away at the beginning of the Great Tribulation of many in the church when they will be hated by **ALL** the nations of the world followed by the prophecy by Jesus in Matthew 24:14 that the Goispel must be preacxhed to **ALL** the nations of the world before the End will come. By AD 70 the Gospel had only been preached to those nations in the Roman Empire!
The **PRETERISTS** like KJVonly believe that all of the following events took place in AD 70 ????
In Matthew 24:3,9-13: The disciples asked Jesus, “What will be the sign of your Coming and the end of the age?? Jesus answered….. {During the 42-month Great Tribulation} “Then *YOU* will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and *YOU will be hated by **ALL NATIONS** **BECAUSE OF ME**. At that time many will turn away from the Faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of *MOST will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the **END** will be saved.”
Rev 13:4-10: Men worshiped the dragon {Satan} because he had given authority to the Beast {666} and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the Beast? Who can make war against him?” The Beast will exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months {1260 days}, He will be given authority over **EVERY** tribe, people, language and **NATION**. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast--all whose names have not been written in the **LAMB'S** Book of Life. Whoever has ears let him hear: "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's saints!
Matthew 24:14: Jesus prophesied, "And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the **WHOLE WORLD** as a testimony to **ALL NATIONS** and **THEN the **END will come!"
Matthew 24:29-31: Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the **STARS WILL FALL** from the sky! {Luke 21:28 adds "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near!"} Then will ***APPEAR*** the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. and then all the {Unsaved} peoples of the earth will mourn when the see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud {7th & Last} trumpet call, and the will gather **HIS ELECT** from the 4 winds, from one end of heavens to the other!" {Mark 13:27 adds "From the ends of the earth!"}
Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: Jesus prophesied, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, an He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. **THEN** the King will say to those on his right. Come, you are blessed by My Father ; take your inhreritance , the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world... "Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared fror the Devil and his angels....**THEN** they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!"
And so the only supposedly good Preterist verses in Mark 9:1 and Matthew 24:34 actually do not prove the Preterist belief and there are over 40 versus in God's Word which totally contradict the Preterist belief!
Ay honest Bible scholar will admit that none of the above events took place in AD 70 and must akll take place in the **FUTURE**. And therefore the Preterist belief that all,the above events took place in AD 70 is completely ridiculous!
Jesus is King of kings, and we should avoid leaving Him in a manger, hanging on a crucifix, or waiting for some future carnal and earthly kingdom (Heb 10:12-13; 12:2; Rev 2:26-27; 3:21; etc.).
The gospel of the kingdom obviously included God's grace in Christ (Acts 2:22-40; 8:12; 28:23,31).
After the resurrection of Jesus, the gospel included those very glorious details (I Cor 15:1-11,24).
The kingdom is not future – it is now(Heb 12:28-29; I Cor 15:24).
The gospel of the kingdom must include Jesus as its King (Acts 2:33-36; 4:11; 5:31; 10:36).
The generation that crucified the Lord of glory was the wickedest in the history of the world, and their crime against the Son of God was clearly the most heinous crime in the history of mankind.
Jesus proved Himself King by emphatically destroying His enemies, their city, and their temple

I Peter 5:4: “When the Chief Shepherd **APPEARS**, **YOU** {**CHURCH SAINTS**} will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away!”
I Peter 1:13: Therefore, with minds are alert and fully sober, **SET YOUR HOPE** on the grace to be brought to you when **JESUS CHRIST IS REVEALED AT HIS SECOND COMING**!
I Corinthians 15:48-52: As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth, and as is the heavenly man, so are those who are of heaven. So here we see that the Resurrection of the saved and the lost will be Resurrected on the **SAME DAY** when Jesus Christ is **REVEALED** from heaven with His powerful angels!!
