Looking at Genesis 1:3-5, notice that it only mentions a literal singular light! This is HUGE in importance for later.
Zechlup claims 1:3-5 is not talking about the obvious sun and its light when he states - "The Text doesn't say God made the sun on day one. While it is an admittedly common mistake to conflate "light" with "sun" it is not what the Text says." Lol! He goes on to state in his "educated" wisdom - "This is called "reading into the Text"." That is hilarious reasoning of the subject in question and really just a cop out in not answering WHAT the text is actually saying! Lol!
Lets look at the Strongs.
Sun - Hebrew "shemish" #8121, brilliant - Sun. DUH!
Light - Hebrew "ma'or" #3974, luminous body, luminary. Sun would be a luminary! Double DUH!!

So friends, since Zechlup does not have a clue what is being stated in Genesis 1:3-5, can I get an actual reasonable discussion from someone else as to the literial "light" that is being described in those verses?
But FIRST we can actually learn a lot from an atheist! This challenge from the atheist will actually answer (teach us) what is stated in Genesis 1:3-5 and to that of Genesis 1:14-16! So lets ANSWER the challenge by the atheists, I want to see how someone here on this forum would respond to an atheist, like I did. Remember we are to be witnesses to the lost! Zechlup obviously does not have a clue if the moon reflects light or gives off its own light like the Bible clearly says it does. Zechlup wants a secular version of evidence because the Bible is not science to him. About the self illumination of the moon, he wants to know how it illuminates! But he doesn't ask how the sun illuminates!!! Ha! LMBO!

He says the earth plus moon marriage PERFECTLY explains moon phases and eclipses, all his assumptions are either based upon the earth casting a shadow on the moon or from our vantage/view point the sun is only lighting portions of the moon causing the phases. The truth is neither the earth nor the sun has anything to do with shadows or phases of the moon, its self illuminating just as the Bible says and simple self testing of those facts can confirm! And eclipses are easy to explain when you take into account travel of sun and moon at different speeds and differing circuits in a clockwise manner inside the firmament depending on the seasons. Finally "tides" have not been proven to be caused by the moon, there is much debate about that yet theory today and "gravity" (grabbity) is also a theory and unproven! He also assumes just because something is"round" it must also be a sphere!!! LMBO!
In closing Zechlup cannot articulate a model that works of the earth rotating around sun without relying upon cartoon CGI pictures from his coveted secular illuminati books! But he thinks I need to articulate a model that works! Lol! ANYONE going outside can see with their own eyes and own Yah given senses that the earth is not moving (you feel nothing) and EVERYTHING above is moving!
Everything has density (not grabbity) and that is why a light weight butterfly or insect can leave the ground at ease and tons and tons of sea water remains level where it rests. I could go on and on but who has there eyes open to truth here in this thread?
