**WHY ARE THE WORDS **NEW MONTH** WRONGLY TRANSLATED **NEW MOON** SEVEN TIMES IN THE OT AND ONE TIME IN THE NT**??
**SAD**lup claims that Christians should adopt the Babylonian Moon Calendar and obey all the OT feasts according to the Babylonian Moon Calendar???
**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY**??
The Hebrew word for **MONTH** in the OT is always **CHODESH** and the Hebrew word for **MOON** is always **YAREACH**. However 7 times in the OT the words **NEW MONTH** are wrogly translated **NEW MOON** in Psalm 81:3, Isaiah 1:14; Isaiah 66:23; Ezekiel 46:1; Ezekiel 45:6; Hosea 5:7 and Amos 3:5:
For example in Isaiah 1:14: {The Lord said:} "Your **NEW MOON**{Should be **NEW MONTH**} feasts and your appointed feasts I hate with all My being!"
And in the New testament the words **NEW MONTH** is wrongly used one time in Colossians 2:16:; Do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a regious festival, a **NEW MOON** {Should be **NEW MONTH**} celebration or a **SABBATH DAY**! The Greek word for **MOON** is **SELENE** but in Colossians 2:16 above the Greek word **NEOMENIA** is used which means **NEW MONTH**!!
The reason for these obviously wrong translations is that after the Babylonian exile the Jews wrongly adopted the Babylonian Moon calendar where a new month always starts on the first day of a **NEW MOON**.and the first Babylonian **MOON MONTH ** is called **NISAN**. Whereas God had commanded that.the first Bible month shall be called **ABIB** and is always on the first day of **SPRING** {ABIB means **SPRING**} which is always from sundown, March 20th to sundown, March 21st. And the 2nd Bible month is always 30 days later or sundown, April 19th to sundown, April 20th!! Whereas in the Babylonian Moon Calendar you have alternating 29-day and 30-day months since there is a **NEW MOON** every 29 1/2 days.
Actually before the Babylonian capture of Israel God commanded that the 1st day of the first Bible month was the first day of Abib which is always from sundown March 20th to sundown March 21st and after the Babylonian exile Israel sinfully adopted the evil Babylonian Moon Calendar and their evil first month of Nisan which is a calendar completely regulated by the moon and the first day of Nisan was the first day of the new moon instead of the first day of Abib which is always from sundown March 20th to sundown March 21st.
Numbers 28:16: {The Lord said} “On the 14th day of the **FIRST MONTH** the Lord’s Passover is to be held.” Exodus 12:6,7,12,13: “Take care of them {The Passover Lambs} until the 14th day of the month when all the people of Israel must slaughter them {See Lev 23:5} at Twilight {Just after sundown to nightfall on Passover Day! 1 Cor 5:7: “For Christ our PASSOVER LAMB has been sacrificed.” Whereas the Jews {who were following the evil Babylonian moon calendar} held their Passover on the 15th of Nisan {Which always occurs on the night of a full moon} and observed the Passover on the WRONG DAY as per John 18:28: “Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman Governor {Pilate}. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness the Jews did not enter the palace; for they wanted to be able to eat the PASSOVER!!” Which would have been the day “AFTER” Jesus correctly held the Passover on the 14th of ABIB {*THE FIRST BIBLE MONTH*} which God had commanded. So we can assume that the month of ABIB is different from the Babylonian moon month of Nisan and therefore has nothing to do with the moon.
Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day have been broken up all fountains of the great deep, and the net-work of the heavens hath been opened,

Genesis 7:24 and the waters are mighty on the earth a hundred and fifty days

Genesis 8:3-5 And turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.
And the ark resteth, in the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on mountains of Ararat;
and the waters have been going and becoming lacking till the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, appeared the heads of the mountains.

These passages explicitly say the waters were strong for 150 days or 5 30-day months, and then marks out a 5 {30-day} month difference from the 17th of the second month to the 17th of the seventh month.
By comparing Rev 13:5 and Daniel 7:25 we know that 666 will rule the world for 42 months which is also time 12 months, times {24 months} amd 1/2 a time {6 months} which would be the exact same period of time. And by comparing Revelation 12:6 with Revelation 12:14 we know that Time {360 days} times {720 days] and 1/2 a time {180 days] and 1260 days is also the exact same period of time. And therefore 42 30-day Bible months are also 1260 days.
Revelation 13:5 The Beast {666} wilkl exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months . Which is also 1260 days!!
Amd so the OT and NT both have 30-day months!! And the first Bible Month shoud be called ABIB or Spring and is always sundown, March 20th to sundown March 21st and has absolutely nothing to do with the evil Babylonian Moon Calendar!!
