Posted : 11 Nov, 2012 01:11 PM So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. After introducing my self to Greg my neighbor and trying to witness truth to him. He gave me the response that he didnt want to hear from me concerning that. I respected his decision and Greg and I over the years have become friends. You see he need me to earn trust that I might speak into his life. One day he asked me this question. It was this last summer. We were just hanging out together. He asked me what do I think of him. You see he expected me to say that he was a sinner going to hell because he does not beieve in God. because he drinks and smokes. Just like others told him. But my response surprised him. I told him all the ggod things I see in him. How he cares about his neighbors, how he is respected by his neighbors, etc.... Because I showed him genuine care and respect he began to open up and ask me direct questions of faith. We had a couple hours talking about the things of God and I left him with some clear things to consider. Because I considered him as a valuable human being I earned the oppertunity to speak into his life directly. Post Reply
