The Word Gospel being understood as good news, glad tidings.esus
Why not look at Jesus and his proclaiming the good news:
Mt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Mt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
It always amazes me how somehow some come up with the Statement Jesus requires you to repent of all your sins.
Why do you suppose Jesus never preached that?
Jesus came that man would no longer have to be separated from
God, the father's desire was to redeem man from Satan's dominion's and all his curses.
The church's message to the world is very simple
2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2nd Cor. 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2nd Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Why should someone who does not see they are headed to hell care for the good news? The Gospel is for sinners. Until people realize they are sinners they see no need for it. They must first change how they view themselves. Once they realize they are sinners and turn towards the Gospel they are repenting. They had a change of thought.
I am lost sinner headed for hell, I know NOTHING about the Bible, what I know about Jesus I got from some TV shows that came on around Christiams that I watched when I was a kid, I have heard about heaven and hell and all I know about those places is, one is hot and the other is paradise.
Witness to me PJ!!! Present the gospel to a lost soul.
Then you take people to the book of beginnings, and show them what the word says.
This post is about giving the Gospel to the lost .

Number 2- The statement to trucker and Mr.row does not say they are lost. You added that PJ. I will admit that Mr.row may be a smart alec.But that does not keep him from getting in to heaven.
Maybe you should remove the plank out of your eye before helping trucker and Mr. row?

All it has to do with is a bruised ego. We all do not have to agree on everything.
I have never found anything wrong on a major issue with trucker.The only issue a disagree with Mr. row is speaking in tongues. That is a minor issue.

I believe that we as brothers and sisters in Yeshua/Jesus in love should pray for and be encouraging PJ unto Love,Faith and Good deeds.
How would Yeshua/Jesus treat PJ,or for that matter,How would Yeshua/Jesus be treating me..
Mat 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

PJ, in his enthusiasm might be wrong an awful lot,yet how many of us were as he is.
When each of us first believed were not each one of as the saying goes "Zeal without knowledge is fooloish".
PJ,is ABBAs child,so let ABBA deal with Him and not us.

When we begin seeing the Lord maturing PJ,then we still pray for him and encourage him unto Love,Faith and Good deeds..
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Whoever amongst us that has not been as PJ,you can cast stones,until then Mercy triumphs against/over judgement.
Jas 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
I don't believe sincere repentance is a box that you can tick off on a salvation check list just to escape the fiery pit. I believe it issues from a heart that is changed through a love relationship with Jesus Christ. It's about getting up close and personal...intimate with Jesus...immersing yourself in His beauty and Love. The closer you get, the more you realize how the enticements of this world are just a facade covering the pain and anguish of sin and death.
I believe repentance is humbling yourself before a Holy God that knows you for the pitiful, broken creature that you are and still loves you with a love beyond imagination. It is the realization that without Him you have absolutely no HOPE...that you have no power to understand or overcome anything in your own strength and are completely dependent on His love, grace and mercy. And, I think when we fail...as we are all going to do...it is going back to the foot of the cross and burying your face in His undying, unconditional Love.
I think it is in the humility of repentance that we can truly discuss and testify and bear witness...not to judgment, condemnation and fear...but to the overwhelming Love of a Savior.
