There is no greater message to be heard than that which we call the Gospel. But as important as that is, it is often given to massive distortions or over simplifications. People think theyre preaching the Gospel to you when they tell you, you can have a purpose to your life, or that you can have meaning to your life, or that you can have a personal relationship with Jesus. All of those things are true, and theyre all important, but they dont get to the heart of the Gospel.
The Gospel is called the good news because it addresses the most serious problem that you and I have as human beings, and that problem is simply this: God is holy and He is just, and Im not. And at the end of my life, Im going to stand before a just and holy God, and Ill be judged. And Ill be judged either on the basis of my own righteousness or lack of it or the righteousness of another. The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus lived a life of perfect righteousness, of perfect obedience to God, not for His own well being but for His people. He has done for me what I couldnt possibly do for myself. But not only has He lived that life of perfect obedience, He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice to satisfy the justice and the righteousness of God.
The great misconception in our day is this: that God isnt concerned to protect His own integrity. Hes a kind of wishy-washy deity, who just waves a wand of forgiveness over everybody. No. For God to forgive you is a very costly matter. It cost the sacrifice of His own Son. So valuable was that sacrifice that God pronounced it valuable by raising Him from the dead so that Christ died for us, He was raised for our justification. So the Gospel is something objective. It is the message of who Jesus is and what He did. And it also has a subjective dimension. How are the benefits of Jesus subjectively appropriated to us? How do I get it? The Bible makes it clear that we are justified not by our works, not by our efforts, not by our deeds, but by faith and by faith alone. The only way you can receive the benefit of Christs life and death is by putting your trust in Him and in Him alone. You do that, youre declared just by God, youre adopted into His family, youre forgiven of all of your sins, and you have begun your pilgrimage for eternity.
The Gospel is the Good News of what relationship;Wrong-Wrong-Wrong.
Anyones relationship with the Lord before believing the Gospel (Mark 1:15)Is that of being an enemy of God.
Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
That is the only relationship one has before trusting Yeshua to save them from the wrath and
Judgement of God.
The relationship one has after trusting Yeshua,is a relationship of Father and Adopted Son or Daughter.
The Gospel which is the Complete word of God is all about Yeshua/Jesus from
Genesis 1:1 In the Beginning God ;all the way through to
Rev 22:20 he saith--who is testifying these things--`Yes, I come quickly!' Amen! Yes, be coming, Lord Jesus!
Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you all. Amen.

Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 15:29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
The Gospel in its short form:
Gal 1:2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
Gal 1:3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Gal 1:5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
1Pe 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Pe 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1Pe 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1Pe 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1Pe 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
1Pe 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The Gospel simply is this:
Man has a sinful nature and by this is a sinner.
Man is not a sinner because he/she sins.
Man sins because He/She is a sinner.
Man needs someone to save them from the wrath and judgement of God Almighty upon the sin(s) of man.
Man needs someone to remove their sin(s),so that God does not see them anymore.
The only person that is able to do this is Yeshua.
He has shown that He can, will and has already accomplished this.
Yeshua reveales this through the Gospel, which proclaims His death, burial and Resurrection from the dead.
Because of Yeshua a person trusting Him/Yeshua as Lord and Saviour, they are declared to be justified of their sins,
before the Holy God of Abraham,Isaac, and Jacob.
Not only does Yeshua justify sinful man,He also declares them to be Holy,Righteous and Sanctified.
Yeshua not only makes these declarations,He also makes these declarations real in the life of the believers.
Yeshua,Imputes His Righteousness,His holiness, and His Sanctification to those trusting Him as Lord and Saviour.
This being done,I and those trusting Yeshua, stand before the Holy God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob completely
justified,Righteous,Holy,and Sanctified in Yeshua/Jesus.
Yeshua fulfilled all of the law and prophets.
Being in Christ, this also is imputed to me and anyone that believes in Yeshua/Jesus
We do not have to keep/obey the law to become righteous;
Rather,we obey the law because we are righteous.
This is the radical Gospel Yeshua and the Apostles proclaimed.
This also is the radicalness of the Gospel of Yeshua/Jesus.
I Love this radical Gospel.YES
I hope that I was not too long winded, yet there are some that may not want to be hearing too much Scripture.
It appears you have stated formula # 147-B with more than 20 scriptures to back it up...lol! I am not saying you are wrong, wrong, wrong; but believe you missed the lowest common denominator.
You have heard of the scripture: "Abram believed the LORD and he credited it to him as righteousness" (Gen 15:6) So was Abram declared righteous because he believed a formula? creed? doctrine? Read Romans chapter 4 and Galatians chapter 3 on the matter.
Abraham has a relationship with God. The type of relationship is evident. The Gospel is about the relationship between God and man; for those who believe and those who don't. God has proved his resolve through Jesus. A person may choose to believe or not. For those who do believe; the Spirit of Jesus enters the person; What more of a intimate relationship could you ask for?
As Christians we need to be careful we do not repeat the same mistakes the as those in the Old Testament; putting more emphasis on formulas, creeds, doctrine than on the PERSON of God/Jesus Himself. To have a relationship with Him instead of creating "New Testament Law" To do any different would be making a "Law" out of the doctrine of salvation and missing who Jesus is! Didn't that happen once already?
Again is it a formula, creed or doctrine that saves? NO; it is Jesus, the Christ who saves! It is by our relationship with Jesus that we enter new eternal life!
When you stand before God do you think you will be asked to recite a formula, while God checks off on his list if every point is correct and you didn't miss any? If that is all a person knows it will not go well for them. On the other hand if a person has a intimate relationship with Jesus there won't be any hoops to jump through; just open arms to jump into!
I do not know if you had actually read what I had posted.
A persons relationship with the Lord does not begin without them trusting Yeshua to save them from the wrath of God,Until then we are enemies of God.
After trusting Yeshua the Lord reveals himself to us,through His Word, and the circumstances throughout this life.
Without the Word we would not know who the Lord is or what He is like.
He continually reveals to us,our need for Him.
The Scripture,i posted shows all of this.
The Word tells us Who Yeshua is,what He is like, what He has done for us,what he is doing in us,to us and through us.
The Lord tells us how we should be living,There are at least 25 Scripture telling us to be One anothering One another.
Without the word we do not even know how to love or serve another.
Yeshua is our example for this.
The Word is important for our relationship with the Lord and each other.
I do believe that 'By this shall all men know that you are my Disciples, that you have love to another'.
I will continue reading and studying God throughout His Word.
I will study to show myself approved unto God.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I will not be ashamed Of Yeshua or His Gospel.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
By the Grace of the Lord, through the Holy Spirit empowering me,I will Boldly and yet Lovingly Proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Yeshua/Jesus.
I only know of one gospel. That is the good news of salvation through Jesus. I do not see anywhere in the bible a luuuv gospel, a relationship gospel, a prosperity gospel a full gospel (whatever that means) or any other kind of gospel other than the gospel of forgivness of sins. Does that lead to a relationship with Jesus? Yes! Is love in there? Yep! Will we prosper? Yes we will! (not like it is being preached today) But the gospel is not about relationship. Gospel = good news! We dont have to face the wrath of the Father. And that my friend is great news!!!
Having a close intimate personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ IS GOOD NEWS... and is also what the gospel is about.. To be able to say, The Lord Jesus Christ lives inside of my heart, I in Him, and He in me... knowing that He loves me to the utmost, and I love Him with all my heart, mind, soul, and spirit, is the best kind of RELATIONSHIP everyone should seek to have.
Maybe, the question to Row is, whether or not Row feel that he can established a close intimate loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, to call Him daddy or lover of his life, or His best friend, or His Lord and Savior.
If this Is the case, then its understandable why Row is unable to undersatnd that the Bible and the gospel of Jesus is about relationships.. or do you, Row, see God as being at a distance?... unattached, and unattainable for such a relationship of closeness?.
The gospel is found, quite plainly spoken, in 1 Corinthians 15:2-6
Jesus lived, He died, was buried, rose again on the third day, appeared to many for a period of 40 days and ascended back to heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. That's it.
