dear readers unfortunately we still have these legalists every Christmas season who refuse to turn their Bibles right side up when reading it
as the late great Dr Walter Martin founder of the Christian researcher institute an author of many apologetics books once said
" a text without its context is a pretext "
Here's another example of poor hermeneutics by dom_64 to attempt to demonstrate that Christmas trees are pagan and an abomination to God
" In Jeremiah 10:2-4 the Word of God says, "Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen....For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not " dom_64 ( the female teddy bugs )

Jeremiah mocked the idolatry of Judah, especially as it imitated the idolatry of the surrounding nations. Similar passages mocking the idolatry of the heathen are found in Isaiah 40:18-20 and 44:9-20. Yet, it’s difficult to read this description and condemnation of an ancient pagan custom and 👉👉 not immediately think of the custom of the Christmas tree as practiced in the modern Christian world
ii. based on a passage like this a Christian would be convinced that they should not have a Christmas tree or even celebrate Christmas, then they should stand in that conviction. It is good to remember what Paul wrote: whatever is not from faith is sin (Romans 14:23).
iii. Nevertheless, there are many reasons to believe that despite some similarities, the differences are even greater and 👉👉 do not prohibit the modern custom of the Christmas tree.
· Jeremiah spoke regarding the customs of the Gentiles, and in the modern world 👉👉 the appropriate celebration of Christmas is an expression of belief in God and His Son, not a custom of unbelievers
· Jeremiah spoke of believers borrowing customs of unbelievers; in the modern world, when an unbeliever has a Christmas tree 👉👉 it is a case of unbelievers borrowing the customs of believers
· Jeremiah spoke of a tree regarded as an idol, and (properly understood) the modern Christmas tree is 👉👉 🚫 NOT an idol. If for a family it is or becomes an idol, it should be discarded with.
· Jeremiah spoke to a time in history when trees were often directly connected with idolatry, either literal trees or their representations (Jeremiah 2:27)
Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition as we now know it in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes

🙂😉 trying to use Jeremiah 10 as a pro theological argument to denounce Christmas trees as pagan practices makes as about as much sense as the Quakers who don't use electricity because they think in some way shape or form that modern technology is evil 💡🙈🙉🙊
🙂🙂 a lot of us love quaker oats for breakfast in the morning 🥣 and the good old electric powered microwave helps us do it and likewise with our Christmas trees that help us appreciate the birth of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ this time of year -- I'm sure most of you will agree 🙂💯👍

Jesus' words are the same yesterday today and forever, however, Jesus had no blood and was full of holes when he arose from the dead. Can you live without blood? Nope. Flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of heaven 1st Cor 15:50. Jesus showed the apostles in Luke 24. Jesus' was a new creation a new creature no longer the flesh and blood Mary gave him. Jesus in John 6:63 told people his flesh means nothing it is his words which are spirit and life that matter and not his person. Jesus was a dead man walking and breathing not by Mary but by the spirit of God. Acts 4:9-11.
John 6:63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
