@Dave

1. Dave, where in the entirety of the Scriptures will i find the 501C3 Tax exempt Business called ' church '.

2. Where in the New Covenant can i find a worship band.

3. Where in the New Covenant will i find people not being allowed to speak when they meet to Worship Messiah.

Dave, these three should be easy to find, IF they are in the New Covenant.

Morgan, just kidding.

Quiz, I keep thinking maybe by the umpteenth time explaining you might finally understand. But you must do your part—-in other words, a person has to willing to understand.

Quiz, did you ever read or remember what a certain man said to a bunch of false teachers who kept asking the same O’quesrions?

He said this in John 9:27 “He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again?”

Usually a person, like yourself, who continues to sidewind around in non-essential issues, especially those not addressed in scripture, like the legitimacy of a tax exemption, perhaps has some Biblical issues he’s trying to ignore. The person would be well served to prioritize those immediate concerns

@ Dave

Dave, tax exemption had been addressed by Messiah, do you remember when He told Peter to go fishing, for their TAX money.

Read that one again.

Quiz, the verses in Matthew that you are fond of quoting in support of your failed IRS tax exegesis would make the church responsible for paying taxes to the Temple in Jerusalem.

Quiz, I have a suggestion for your next thread.

Maybe you should post a thread challenging the church to follow Jesus’s example and start fishing for temple tax money‼️‼️‼️ After all, that’s what Jesus did

@Dave

Dave, did you read the Scripture about the tax Messiah and Peter paid, i do not believe you did.

I believe you read the Heading which reads, Temple tax, then decided that you did not need to read the Scripture, especially within the context.

I shall post the Scripture along with the heading in its context.

Matthew 17 verses 24-27, look at verses 25-27 more closely.

The Temple Tax

24 After they had arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma taxd came to Peter and asked, “Does your Teacher pay the two drachmas?”

25“Yes,” he answered.

When Peter entered the house, Jesus preempted him. “What do you think, Simon?” He asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs and taxes: from their own sons, or from others?”

26 “From others,” Peter answered.

“Then the sons are exempt,” Jesus declared.

27 “But so that we may not offend them, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take the first fish you catch. When you open its mouth, you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for My tax and yours.”

Messiah asks Peter a question,

“From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs and taxes: from their own sons, or from others?”

Messiah does not address the temple tax, but the kings( governments) of the earth TAXING people.

Do the kings of the earth TAX their owns SONS,or others that are not their own.

Peters says OTHERS,( Those that do not belong to the state).

Messiah had Peter pay His tax, along with Peters tax, showing that they do not belong to the state.

How about the 501C3 TAX exempt 'church', do they pay taxes thus showing they do not belong to the state;OR does the 'church' take tax exemption, revealing that it belongs to the state.

No one can serve two masters.

Dave notice verse 26 Messiah says that the sons of the state are exempt.

Quiz, we can just keep working at this little by little if you prefer. Earlier I discussed a national tax in another thread, on the same issue, you probably just ignored that one.

But neither is a temple tax nor is a national tax NOR is ANY OTHER tax relevant to the U.S. tax issue affecting religious exemption in this country—that you are hopelessly obsessed and possessed with.

Furthermore, and like I’ve said several times before, the passage has ZIP, ZERO NADDA to do with the church at anytime in history.

Unless, of course, you want to start a Fishing for Tax Dollars Movement‼️‼️‼️ Remember Quiz, Jesus TOLD Peter to fish for the tax money‼️‼️ Since Jesus said that to Peter the church had better follow that example and get with the program and start fishing for tax dollars‼️‼️‼️😒🙄🤷🏿‍♂️
