Learn what the scripture teaches, before trying to teach someone. You don't know Truth when it's posted in your face . Nowhere in the Bible dies Jesus say , don't go to a church building. Posted : 14 Oct, 2021 11:33 AM I don’t know about other churches but the one I go to is small and most of the time there’s not very many people there. And when there is a lot of people there it’s mainly children. Sure there are churches that dwindle away and there are churches that don’t preach the word of God, but there are some that still do. And if you think it’s unbiblical or ungodly going to a church where the preachers preach from the Bible, yet you use scriptures to make it seem unbiblical then there is something completely wrong with your way of thinking and you need to get right with the Lord before you die and go to Hell. Quiznos, I don’t know if anything happened to you in a church in your past or something, but I’m saying this for your own good. Find a church that preaches from the Bible and ask God for forgiveness, because if this is what really goes through your mind then you need to be in a better church, an actual good church with people that are saved. Posted : 14 Oct, 2021 12:57 PM There comes a time which Christians who are to ever be on guard against apostasy and false teaching that they must identify and "mark' an individual so as to understand that they are (a) sinning (b) stuck in sin and refusing to repent (c) causing division and (d) spreading falsehood. We are to identify what they are doing wrongly, confront them and if they do not listen, then we are to avoid them and encourage others to watch out. In Paul's letter to the church at Rome, he warned of such heresy. At this time, such heresy had not yet reached Rome but it was on it's way. We find the Apostle Paul specifically mentioning this in: Romans 16:17-20 Yet this is not the first time Paul points out the foundational problem with apostasy, no, he talks about it plenty more. For example, in 2 Corinthians 11:3 Paul points out how bold a false teacher is when they flat out reject the truth and arrogantly charge other people as simple-minded for not accepting what they say. Paul illustrates the craftiness of the apostates to try and steal the minds of those who've received the word of Christ with simplicity and purity. Yet Paul is not alone in this. Jesus too condemned such brazen heresy: Matthew 7:15-23 "15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’" Be aware of the falsehoods coming from Quiznos. I do not believe yoi understand the Scripture you posted from Matthew 7, as most do not understand as they do not care to check the Greek language from which the english had been translated. Before you post Scripture, find what that Scripture actually says, you will be surprized to find what had not been told to you. Post Reply
