Dave, your neon colored point you missed Captain Obvious is your nascent inconsistency in condemning home churches that have the truth and are not CULTS when you have NOT presented facts supporting your equally false claims. Instead, you condemn other home churches for doing exactly what you do.

Hugs, maybe people believe home fellowships are not of GOD Almighty, as most may not know what home fellowships are.
Most people might believe that if there is not a self appointed person called pastor, no assistant pastor,no worship band, no big building, no programs, no tax exemption for their so called tithes, then that definitely is not of GOD Almighty, and not in the Word of GOD Almighty.
Remember, the students of Messiah were bamboozled by the big buildings the people were using for their worship.
Maybe the people have been told that to be a real believer,they need to be under authority, that is to be under a man made system.
Personally, i happen to be under authority every moment of every day as i am under the authority of YAHSHUA and the Word of GOD Almighty.
Messiah teaches and instructs me in His Word, and the Holy Spirit takes that which belongs to Messiah, reveals to me Who He is, what He is like, and reveals to me what YAHOVA says about me in His Word.
But the 'christians' have been told that is not how GOD Almighty operates today, and that the gifts( actually the GRACE of the Holy Spirit) are not for today, that they stopped when the Bilbe had been completed.Now who is living in UNBELIEF,myself or these ' christians'.

That's right Quiz, they don't BUT the Bible is real clear on home Churches - MATTHEW 18:20 KJV 'For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them!'
On the issue of those so called 'christians' that claim to have a 'church' of a self appointed pastor, assistant pastor, big BAD buildings, programs, tax exemption and so called 'tithes' there is one CULT teaching that hits home with me as my little brother is to be some kind of rock and roll 'star' in his baptist 'church' called a 'worship band' that you mentioned and he is lost in his sin, sadly! As you know satan was a gifted singing angel, so go figure the devil would enter 'churches' and my brother with his rock so called 'music' of the devil!
Yes people strangely want to be under authority, to go the wide path of big building believers and that man made CULT system of worship, thinking there is power in numbers then and YHWH will accept that! Not hardly!
.Finally like you said Quiz, the 'christians' today, do not sadly claim the gifts (quote of Quiz - 'actually the GRACE of the Holy Spirit') for today, that they claimed stopped when the Bible canon was closed, had been completed. So true!
Oh and Quiz you might want to study the word GRACE, as it has a two fold meaning and you may already know that? Grace is Father YHWH's pardon of our PAST sins as a free gift but His Grace also means His POWER over sin in our PRESENT lives, revealed by His set apart Holy Spirit in us! Right?

First of all, there’s nothing wrong with home fellowships only so long as they comprise a biblical church and meet the qualifications of a church as outlined by Paul his letter to Timothy.
Two reasons the early church met in homes, because some were poor and subject to persecution.
Once again, Teddy, in yet another display of extreme ignorance quotes MATTHEW 18:20 KJV 'For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them!'
This verse has absolutely nothing to do with fellowship of a church. Teddy mistakenly thinks the “gathered together” means fellowship
But the context is about church discipline. For example, If a sinning person refuses correction then the next step is to find 2 or 3 witnesses and go again to the sinning person. Jesus will be there in such instances of church discipline because the purity of his church is important.
This is another reason to always understand the context before ripping a verse out of context to mean something else.

Let us look into 1 Corinthians 14 verses 23 - 33
Look at verses 26 & 30 concerning REVELATIONS,is this still for today, YES.
23 So if the whole Assembly comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
24 But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,
25 and the secrets of his heart will be made known. So he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is truly among you!”
26 What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the Assembly.
27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.
28 But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.
29 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.
30 And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop.
31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
32 The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.

Dave, when will the 'christians' and so called 'church' people understand the freedoms they have in Messiah, REVEALED in the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit.
