Malachi 3:2, where the phrase refinerās fire is used, has been a popular verse in Western society for centuries due to its use in Handelās famous oratorio Messiah. The verse reads, āBut who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refinerās fire or a laundererās soap.ā Letās take a look at the prophetās similes.
Malachi says that, when the Lord returns, no one will be able to stand before Him. The Lordās holiness and judgment will be as a refinerās blazing fire and as a fullerās bleaching agent. The idea of āstandingā before the Lord is associated with āwithstandingā or āstanding up toā; sinful human flesh will not have the strength, the right, or the desire to resist the Lord in His glory (cf. Psalm 76:7; Revelation 6:17).
The two similes help clarify why no one will be able to stand in the Day of the Lord. First, Malachi 3:2 says the Messiah will be like a refinerās fire, an allusion to the process of purifying metal. A refiner uses a fire to heat metal to a molten state; then he skims off the dross that floats to the top. The refinerās fire is, of course, maintained at an extremely high temperature, and such a high degree of heat is the prophetās picture of the testing people will face on Judgment Day. All judgment has been entrusted to the Son (John 5:22). Upon Christās return, the intense flame of Godās judgment will purify the earth, removing the dross of sin.
Second, the Messiah will be like a laundererās soap. This type of soap was caustic and quite effective in producing bright white clothing. The HCSB translates it as ācleansing lye.ā When Christ returns, He will cleanse the world of all impurity. Every stain of sin will be scrubbed away. The account of Jesusā transfiguration contains a reference to His purity, using language similar to Malachiās: āHe was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach themā (Mark 9:2ā3).
The goal of Jesus will be to judge wickedness and purify His people: āHe will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousnessā (Malachi 3:3). Like the refinerās fire, He will burn away the impurities of the priests. Like laundererās soap, He will wash away their uncleanness (Deuteronomy 4:29; Isaiah 1:25; Jeremiah 6:29ā30; Ezekiel 22:17ā22; Zechariah 3:5). The priests in the millennial kingdom will then be able to offer sacrifices from a pure heart. The sacrifices in those days will be similar to those when the temple was first built: āThe offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former yearsā (Malachi 3:4).
The refinerās fire and laundererās soap indicate the holiness and burning judgment of the Messiah when He returns to reign in Jerusalem at His second coming. His purifying brightness and absolute holiness will affect those who serve Him, creating a cleansed temple and purified priesthood. āSee, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies himā (Isaiah 40:10)

Matthew 4:17 of your Nasb that says - 'From that time Jesus began to preach and say, ">>>Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.<<<' TODAY!'
Moon your translation makes it crystal clear the CHURCH is 'cleaned up' when the Messiah came and then He said later that His Father's set apart Holy Spirit would guide them into all truth! So much for rsvp's CULT teaching the Church will be dirty UNTIL Christ returns!!! LOL!

The Bible is real clear that Father YHWH with His WORD made flesh sitting on His right hand side of Him will DESTROY the wicked at His second coming and WILL NOT reign on earth at that time!
1Thess 2:8 'SHALL DESTROY (the wicked!) WITH THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS (SECOND) COMING.'
AND CERTAINLY NOT RULE NOR 'REIGN' in any city, let alone Jerusalem on earth!

The prophet Zechariah proclaims God's message in this regard: "Behold, the day of the Lord is coming . . . For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem . . . Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east . . . Thus the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with You . . . And the Lord shall be King over all the earth" (Zechariah 14:1-5; Zechariah 14:9)
And Jesus will have some company David will be resurrected at the beginning of the Millennium, along with all the other Old Testament saints. And David will be one of those who reign with Jesus in the Kingdom

So then rsvp goes on and on how prophet Zechariah prophesies about 'nations to battle against Jerusalem' but does NOT give the context of WHEN this will happen!? When does this battle take place that the saints do not even lift a finger to do?
Revelation 20:7-9 gives the answer!
7. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Did you catch that dear readers, rsvp the CULTIST teacher claims the 'nations' to do 'battle against Jerusalem' at His second coming when its obvious that YHWH will do the battling with his SINLESS SAINTS safely INSIDE the New Jerusalem City at His THIRD coming in the new city that comes to rest on earth at that time (Rev. 21:2,10)! You know where the Messiah says I go to prepare a place for you and will come and get you, to take you to heaven for a 1000 yrs!
Note also in verse 6 of chapter 20 again, how it says the thousand years (the Millennium) are NOT even on the earth for the SINLESS SAINTS but in heaven and after the 1000 yrs the devil will be released from his 'prison' while on earth, for a spell in verse 7 to do battle against the descended New Jerusalem City from heaven, where the tree of life is inside, at YHWH's THIRD coming!
Sooo rsvp has ZERO Scripture to support his CULTISH view that - 'Jesus will have some company, David will be resurrected at the beginning of the Millennium, along with all the other Old Testament saints. And David will be one of those who reign with Jesus in the Kingdom' end quote.
Is it not obvious readers the Bible says in its CONTEXT that David, Old Testament Saints, will reign in the Kingdom of heaven and NOT on earth at His second coming? Does not the Bible tell us ALL the wicked will lie DEAD for a 1000 yrs - 1 Thess. 2:8 'destroyed with the brightness of His coming! Obviously so, right?
Then strangely rsvp quotes - Daniel 7:27 'And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.ā
But did not AGAIN prove anything to that of taking place at YHWH's second coming but factually at His THIRD COMING (when the final death of the wicked takes place, Rev. 20:9 and Malachi 4:1-3!!!) in the New Jerusalem City and outside the city is judgment of the wicked!
