Perhaps you should work a little bit on your reading comprehension skills before commenting on any more of my posts.

The question at hand regards salvation from sin, and, in reality, the Old Covenant cannot save anybody. Our salvation is found in Christ's atoning sacrifice, his burial, his resurrection from the dead, and his glorification at the right hand of Father, and our embracing of the same.

If you don't understand that, then I doubt that you truly understand anything.

Also, I never said that Christians aren't bound to some of the commandments given under the Old Covenant.

In fact, I've spent more than the last 32 years of my life saying the exact opposite.

Christs atoning sacrifice, does that have anything to do with the old covenant, of the law ?



First, Hebrews 10 reminds us what pleases the Lord, not the sacrifice of the bulls but of the body of Christ, who says, I come to do thy will O God..



Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.



Psalms confirms this is to do with law, THY LAW IS WITHIN MY HEART ( heart of Christ to be made the new covenant of the law written in us too)..





Psalm 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.



Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.





Now regarding burial and rising:



Circumcised to put off the sins of this body, risen with Him with instruments of righteousness ( doing unrighteousness is denying the rising of Christ)..



Collossians 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.



Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.







Gloryfying at the right hand of the Father, and we the same in...





No longer in transgressing the law to sins, no longer children of disobedience ( of the law and hatred) fulfilling the lust of the flesh, but quickened together with Christ

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Clarified for us fully what quickened together with Christ entails, put to death in the flesh ( our flesh put to death, to be quickened now by the Spirit.



Preached to us who were dead n sins, in that prison of sin and death, and now what saves us ? The good conscience toward Go by the resurrection of Christ ( evil conscience sinning transgressing the law of Christ is unsaved)..



1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

I don't need to be bombarded with scriptures that I'm already quite familiar with.

Are you saying that none of the commandments under the Old Covenant apply to New Covenant saints?

If you are, then you're greatly mistaken.

Again, just tell me your point.

I don't need a dozen scriptures.

I'll know whether or not your point is valid because I'm quite familiar with the scriptures already.

Incidentally, you regularly pull scriptures totally out of their context to make your intended points.

I haven't bothered refuting anything that you've said before because I'm not into wasting time.

the scriptures saves us, it cant harm us, refuting is never wasting time, it is commandment..



2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

This is Gods idea of being "a kind soul "also:

Before I bow out of this conversation (I only came back because of a private message that another user sent me), I'll show that certain Old Testament commandments still apply to New Testament saints. This will NOT be an exhaustive list, but just a small sample.

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth." (Ephesians 6:1-3)

Where is this "first commandment with promise found" that Paul instructed New Testament Christians to "obey"?

Of course, it's found in both Exodus 20:12 and Deuteronomy 5:16 in the Old Testament.

"And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people." (Acts 23:1-5)

Why did the Apostle Paul, the writer of about half of the New Testament, apologize for reviling the high priest?

Because of the Old Testament commandment he cited which is found in Exodus 22:28.

Turning away from Paul, and looking to Peter, we read:

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." (I Peter 1:13-16)

Why did the Apostle Peter instruct the New Testament Christians to whom he was writing to be holy?

Because of the Old Testament commandment found in Leviticus 11:44-45 and 19:2.

Etc., etc., etc.

A "kind" soul, does not like being taught, yet here is some teaching, would he be able to see correction coming his way, or be stubborn and hard hearted and ignore it? Accusing others as the devil does, of making scripture say what we want, then goes on to show his faith, is in the same understanding he displays..,



Your first quote is Ephesians 6, we are shown in the WHOLE of the bible, more understanding.



First look at Deuteronomy, of the same laws the Lord God gave to Israel, and how it is a worldly way, of consequences, and not the perfect law of LIBERTY, as per the ENTIRELY NEW, new covenant, in reality ( and name). by a new and living way..Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;



New and perfect law of liberty..



James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.



When the rebellious son failed to obey the parents, they were commanded to stone them to death, this way for obedience of parents does not continue, does it ?



Deuteronomy 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.

21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.





Ephesians 6, as you try to quote to support your type of "faith" has the vital verse missing from you, TO BRING UP CHILDEREN IN THAT NURTURE OF THE LORD, then they can obey parents unlike the FAULTY FIRST COVENANT..



Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.



Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.





Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.









It is a good idea to place the WHOLE of the verse up for context. Exodus 22:28, shows not to revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of the people...





Exodus 22:28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.





Now, we can better and fully understand the context of Apostle Paul. The high priest was judging after the law ( which includes killing people and is decayed and vanished..Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.





Paul did show evil of the high priest, as it was needed, but we have a NEW REASON TO NOT SPEAK EVIL OF MEN ( also Exodus 22 shows how to murder people showing you misunderstand completely what righteousness and laying our life down in love for others is) ..



Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.



Acts 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?

5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.





So the truth is, we have a completely new way ( new spirit heart of flesh, stony heart taken away but in many we see still.



We now follow peace with all men and now give no offence to anyone, NOW ONLY IT IS; speak evil of NO MAN, this is the law magnified and made honourable..



Isaiah 42:21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.



Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:



1 Corinthians 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.



Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.







You left out the vital explaining part yet again ( of course)



To not revile the gods. But why ?



Because that could not CEASE, until, to us there is but one God, and Paul declared Him to you, who ignorantly worship.



This knowledge is not in every man (clearly) and trying to force answers is not a question, by the way. The weak conscience is in men who worship idols, now those "gods" are replaced, as was the high priest, no? Yes, the law was CHANGED, as was the high priest.



The High priest is Christ, nobody else unless you keep that first faulty law as you have no new law written in the heart ,to NOW BE HOLY AND HARMLESS( which is not your idea of law keeping to stone children for being rebellious as per the first law and killing witches as testified below, those priests are not needed..

Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

It is written be ye holy, but is it the same commandment or magnified, made honourable?



Firstly, open your darkened understanding, and SEE THE WORDS TESTIFIED.



When REDEEMED, then we can be holy, before redeemed, how do you propose to be holy ?







1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;





All we have to do is look and remember at the verses about being holy in the first vanished old covenant.



To put differences between clean and unclean, of what to eat...





Leviticus 20:25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.





But now that we were redeemed with the knowledge of Heaven and salvation, we understand that way to be holy was never the way of Heaven to be holy, it was earths and mans way only. As we understand all is clean and all is good, and sanctified..





Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.



1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.





You said you have more you could give, sure, I have too much more I can share and also have to learn you about everything you think you know. But, the true light now shined, that made it time to see, when before ( in that first covenant) it was for men who cold never see, never feel, never know righteousness (as everybody who is still blind is now)..





1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

The deceiving spirit will deceive until it has nobody left to deceive.



The seducing devil spirit is told, everywhere in our new testament, to teach lasciviousness, lust, covetousness, to defile the temple of God, and not only say Christ forgives them, but that it cant be avoided by anyone, and also try to show thew Holy Apostles of the Holy Lord God as evil doers, just like themselves.



But, we pay close attention to Gods testimonies instead of their testimonies of the devil book ( their own mind and wisdom )



The evil one now says you lack wisdom ?



After they constantly teach to defile the temple, this is their wisdom ?



Defiling the temple means as testified below, they are WISE IN THIS WORLD, and should have BECOME A FOOL TO BE WISE ( to stop defiling yourself as the devil wisdom of this world teaches to do).



This is then again, example of the "wise" taken in their own craftiness, as the Lord knows (moonlight clearly showed does not know the Lords testimonies) the Lord knows the thoughts of the "WISE" that they are VAIN..





1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.





Now the evil one is "wise" as it is silenced..





Job 13:5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.



1 Samuel 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.







Do we notice above in 1 Samuel 2, how the wicked shall be silent in darkness ( then they are wise to hold their peace forever ) and how by strength shall no flesh prevail ?





Because the evil corrupt blind darkened spirit reasons to say have wisdom. ( its kind of wisdom to commit sins and never cease yo hurt others)



But God answers the deceiver thoroughly and truly for all to see. The foolishness of God, is wiser than men. By strength no man prevails, as the weakness of God in us PREVAILS ( my strength is made perfect in weakness)



Not many wise are called, is the answer to the liar, as God has CHOSEN THE FOOLISH TO CONFOUND THE WISE.



To bring to nothing those that are ( wise in this world in sinning and selfishness) that no flesh should glory in His presence ( be humbled and fear the Lord) and that is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, sanctification and redemption to glory IN THE LORD....





1 Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
