It's not feeling any pain and it's not crying, nor will it ever cry. It's with Jesus. It's happy. And if you hold on to Jesus and follow Him or keep on following Him you'll see that little baby some day. Post Reply

We know if we focus on just one verse we can most always make it say what we want but if we read the verses before or after it, it gives us context to what it means. Right? Lets read it all together, shall we. 2 Corth 5:8-10 "we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the (this) body, and to be present with the L_rd: Wherefore we labor, that whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him. For we MUST all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his/her body, according to that he/she hath done, whether good or bad." Seems real clear now, does it not Cupcake? Paul is talking about two different BODIES! And we will be judged in a new resurrected BODY at "the judgment seat of Christ" in that day, right? So the long version of the short version you qouted of Paul is - we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from this earthly body, and to be present with the L_rd in a new spiritual body come resurrection day of all the Saints! Did the Messiah go to the hell/grave? Yup, He sure did! Act 2:25a,27,31 "For David speaketh concerning him.....Because thou wilt not leave my soul (person) in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (no decay in hell/grave). He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul (person) was NOT left in hell, neither His flesh (body) did see corruption. (AGAIN no decay in the hell/grave)! Did David go to the hell/grave and is he there yet today? Yup its true, David is sleeping in hell! Act 2:29 "Men and brethern, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried (in hell), and his sepulchure (grave site) is with us unto this day. Let me guess, your going to tell me all the details about the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, that is just used to illustrate a judgmental lesson of righteousness and unrighteousness but that it is all literal!? If sooo.... Then are you going to tell me there is no heaven but only Abraham's bosom? That Christians will be able to see old lost friends and dip the tip of their finger in water, and cool the tongue of old lost friends? That people in Abraham's bosom, like Lazarus, will be able to see old friends being in torments afar off? Will not seem much like heaven if that were possible, would it Needsafriend7??? Paradise is just another name for heaven! Gehenna is a burning place outside Jerusalem, the valley below Jerusalem, where children were sacrificed and where idolatry was practiced (II Kings 23:10; Jeremiah 19:6) and where later offal and refuse were slowly burned. Everything became ashes there Needsafriend7, nothing STAYED alive there, a burial ground! Hell the grave! Gehenna, the Bible uses it for an example of the end times lake of fire where the wicked will suffer, die and become ashes! So is hell THE literal burning place? Nope! For hell itself will one day be cast in the lake of fire come the end of it all! If hell is a fire, does it make sense to cast a fire in a fire Needsafriend7??? So its NOT my interpretation, its Paul's INSPIRED letter to the Corinthians! OK? How can any Christian go to heaven resurrection day "absent" from any kind of body and be present with the L_rd, praise the L_rd with no vocal cords, no eyes to see the Messiah, no hands to hug Him and no knees to bow down to Him on??? You make no sense Cupcake??? We were always CREATED with a body and Paul says we get a HEAVENLY (2 Corth 5:2) BODY come resurrection day just like every other Christian! OK? You need to have some common sense when you read the Bible and read it in context to what it says in the whole chapter. OK? Post Reply
