The Bible clearly tells us who who they were and what region they were from. Part of their descendants are the Philistines, for example Goliath. Additionally, if Chuck was correct, then Joshua would've been chasing demon spawn out of the land after he claims they were drown. Post Reply

I was recovering from surgery about the time that thread came to be. I missed out! Gosh I wanted to know how many lucky women had married a hunk of a man/angel with wings that could literally sweep her off of her feet! Its such a romantic thought, no? I can tell by your response, I've read it and you haven't. Guess what? I could care less what you believe about it, because you've offered nothing of substance other than 'it can't happen'. Posted : 10 Feb, 2020 09:00 PM Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Giants = Nephiyl or Nephilim (Strongs H5303) They also appear in Numbers. and it tells us they were the "Sons of Anak" Num 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. So who are the Sons of Anak? In the book of Joshua, Caleb drove out three of the sons. Joshua 15:14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak. In Judges, we are also told they were driven out. They were in Gaza, which is a part of Palestines. This is also where the Philistines resided, in cities like Gath. Judges 1:18 Also Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof. And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron. And they gave Hebron unto Caleb, as Moses said: and he expelled thence the three sons of Anak. So if we go by Chucks interpretation, we would have to assume there were demons driving around iron chariots. These were the ones Joshua and Caleb were having trouble with. However, they were actually large men. Here is another scripture stating the Philistines as being a part of Gath. Most people have heard of Goliath of Gath. 1 Sam 7:23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
