It never set well with me when Truman bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima with the fat man and little boy.
I seen vids of the aftermath. Beyond comprehension! why not bomb the military nerve center and not the heavily populated civilian area. I see no material assistance with our war with Japan. They were already defeated and ready to surrender.
I mean, innocent people were walking around like burnt cookies before they collapsed in agony. And some people just left a shadow of themselves on the steps of the concrete where they were sitting.
It is by the grace of God that people actually survived the radiation . In my humble opinion, it was a experiment to gather scientific data. Our poor soldiers were exposed to radiation when they came in right after to give aid and monitor the patients. WOW!. Our boys are told to bomb then are victims themselves. Not surprised! when my Son turned 18 , he was required to register within 30 days with the Federal Selective Services. God forbid he ever has to be drafted!

Jesus did clear the Temple of the evil money changers since everyone was still under OT laws until the inspired New Testament laws were written.

TOTH3M4, I’m unsure who your post is specifically aimed at but you seemed to indicate it was to “Christians” who are supposed to quote, “live peacefully when they live united.”
TOTH3M4, I wonder if you might share the results of your study on the selection from Titus you chose to post.
For starters, I wonder if you might define what Paul means by “foolish questions, genealogies, contentions and strivings about the law?
How might you sturdy results compare with other scripture? For example, Paul argued about Pete’s application of the law in the book of Galatians. Paul also argued against various Corinthian doctrinal abuses in his letter to the Corinthians. I could list other examples of contention between those embracing error and those teaching truth.
So is Paul now contradicting himself in Titus?
Was Paul picking apart the body?
Does being united in the body mean we overlook false doctrine for the sake of a false unity?
Does Paul contradict himself in Titus 1:9
“holding **fast the faithful word** which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in **sound doctrine** and to **refute those who contradict**.”
What does the Bible mean by being united in truth? Is it the same as the world’s definition of unity at all costs?

The atomic bomb drop is a reality of the devastation of war and is a result of human depravity. Hostility and war was a result of the first act of disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Cain was the first man to declare war with the murder a brother.
The bomb drop on the Japanese was and is a sad consequence of war for those innocent people. The responsibility for that devastation rests squarely on the shoulders of the former Japanese leadership
Repeat warnings about the ultimate bomb drop were sent. But the Japanese leader was not even ready to surrender after the first atomic bomb killed millions
It must be remembered the Japanese were the first to bomb Pearl Harbor where many innocent people were burned to death.
Even worse, the tragic stories of pagan religions like the those of the Japanese leadership testify to account after account severely tortured prisoners of war. Not to mention how pagan leaders treated their own citizens!!
Perhaps that explains the sentiments of a majority of Japanese citizens.
A recent poll shows a majority of Japanese citizens believe the former leadership has much to thoroughly apologize for in regard to the devastation of war that was inflicted upon their own country men!!

Their about 400 NT laws to be obeyed with *LOVE* in the hope of countless eternal rewards for faithful and loving service has replaced the 613 OT laws.
In the OT God ordered Israel to kill their enemies many times and God helped them do it. However in the NT Jesus commands, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also." Luke 6:27-29
Leviticus 26:7,8: God said to Israel, "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the SWORD before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the SWORD before you!" Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!" etc etc
HOWEVER IN THE NEW COVENANT, JESUS SAYS, "ALL WHO DRAW THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD!"
Jesus said to His 11 Apostles, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. For it is written: "And He was numbered with the transgressors"{Isaiah 53:12} and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in Me. Yes, what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment." The disciples said, "See Lord, here are 2 {Not 11}swords." "That is enough." Jesus replied.
