First of all you are continually speaking against a truth that is clear thru out the bible.
*** Really ?What truth is it I continually speak againstId really like to know because there is only one Truth that is always Continually True and that is GOD / Jesus / Holy Spirit
You have to know the word of God to know the God of the Word
*** YesI agree with you on this but why are you saying I dont know the Word or GOD ?
You are also denying all spiritual laws!
*** Nope !!!Spiritual Law is thatGods Law of the SpiritIve never denied Gods Spiritual lawsothats not true PJ
You can not understand redemption and say prosperity is of Satan,
*** I understand redemptionfor I am redeemedBorn Againand Ive never said Prosperity is from satan since Ive never discussed Prosperity on a Forum beforexo
Oh you Booger PJ...shame on you......you started the reply post with Jude so of course I thought you were addressing me...Im only a women ya know...and of course the weaker of the minds......Yes !!! Jesus Loves me !!!...and Everyone too...:yay:...xo
Again you are quoting Scripture from the OT Covenant to prove the Prosperity Gospel. Can you quote any NT Scripture which contradicts the teaching of Jesus to the prosperous in Matthew 19:21 "To sell all your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; and **THEN** come follow Me."
Prosperity was part of the OT Covenant but the *NEW** NT Covenant is totally against the Prosperity Gospel: The NT Covenant inspired by the Holy Spirit also commands:
Hebrews 8:6,7,13: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is mediator is superior to the old one, and is founded on better promises..By calling this covenant "NEW," He has made the first one obsolete!!:applause:
Jesus says to His disciples "Teach them to obey **EVERYTHING** I commanded" in Matt 28:20.
John 14:23,24: Jesus says, "If anyone loves Me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching."
I John 2:3-5: We know that we have come to know Him {Jesus} **IF** we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in Him.:peace:
IS THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL THE GOSPEL OF SATAN??
I John 2:15,16: "Do not love the world of **ANYTHING** in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of the eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever."
James 4:3,4: "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God."
James 5:15 "Now listen you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. Your wealth has rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the Last Days...You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter."
Matthew 6:24: Jesus says, "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money!"
I Timothy 2:9,10: "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
I Timothy 6:6-10: "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
2 Timothy 3:1,2: But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves and lovers of money."
Hebrews 13:5: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Matthew 19:20-24: The rich man said "All these {commandments} I have kept. What do I still lack?" Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. *THEN** come , follow Me." When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
The Prosperity Gospel as taught by Osteen:devil: and many others is truly the Gospel of Satan and contradicts the teachings of the New Covenant which are inspired by the Holy Spirit.
No, indeed Bahira, there is no way dogs can bark in people or any of this foolishness that you see many of these people doing, that is not scriptural or of God, everything God does has a spiritual message that leads to salvation, not entertainment or a showcase.
The point that I'm making with the passages I posted, and I think PJ, is making is saying is, that you can only pray for these people spiritually, and since you cannot reach these people physically to sit them down and teach them God's word of truth, there is nothing you can do. Therefore, if we know these things are not of God based on our knowledge of the spiritual things of God found in HIs holy Word, then all we can do is pray for them, and leave them alone.
There is so much foolishness that is going on that people claim to be of God, that is not of God according to His word and our knowledge, so I have learned to leave those things along that I cannot change, and change those things I can by using God's word to base my call for chance.
If its not in God's word, then I don't see how it can be of God. Because there is nothing new under the sun, and everything that God wants us to know is written in His word, including those things and the works of the Holy Spirit, these works do not change, becaue od doesn't change in character.
Many people use the passage of John chapter 14:verse 20, where Jesus says, truly, truly, I say to you, the person who believes in Me, the works that I do this perrson will do also, and GREATER works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father. They use this passage to justify their foolishness of out of control behavior as if the HOly Spirit is doing this work in them. And to say this so-called out of control laughter and all this other mess is of the Holy Spirit. But what they don't understand is that the greater works Jesus is speaking about is much in reference to what the apostles did in quanity and that Jesus is not speaking about stuff that has no spiritual meaning or vailue that bring salvation. The Bible tells us that Jesus did so many miracles and signs and wonders there is no book that could hold the details of what He did or His works, so we are only given a small account of those things that He did and that God wants us to know about. But I'm sure He did not have people going around varking like a dog, or all over the place out of controll in a silly manner, and still the person when they stop they are still depressed or sad or whatevr. The joy of the laugh is not about out of contriol, but f comfort and peace in knowing...
Much hysteria goes on in the churches where false teachers and preachers have followings, that is not of God, just as in the day of the apostles, and the say its of God.
Therefore, as the passage says, if you cannot fit this by pointing these people to the right things in scripture and what God says, and correct them, then if its of man it will come to nothing. But if its of God and He is using this foolishneess to somehow point to Himself for His glory, and will sooner or later make some chanes by correcting all this craziness that is going on... then all we should do is denonce what we know is not of God and correct it as Paul and the apostles did during their work showing the proper and right things of God, or just leave it all alone until God HImself steps in and make changes.
For sure God is not going to allow such mess to contiue in His name leading people astay, and many of these preachers of such cults are leading people astay with foolishness, and God has already stated that he is going to harshly punish these preachers who do such. So all we can do is pray and correct those who and where we can.
Did the early NT saints practice the Prosperity Gospel??
Acts 2:44,45: "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need."
Acts 4:32,34: " All the believers:rolleyes: were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had... There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put them at the apostles feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need."
And so the early NT saints followed the command of Jesus in Matthew 19:21 "to sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasures in heaven and *THEN* come follow Me."
Would those who teach the Satanic Prosperity Gospel preach their nonsense to the very poor saints who earn a few dollars per day in Africa, Asia and South America?? Why don't the churches who preach the Prosperity Gospel not sell their possessions and give to these poor saints like the early saints?? If they did follow the NT teachings then they also would be poor!
Luke 6:20: Jesus says, "Blessed are you:rolleyes: who are *POOR*, for yours is the Kingdom of Heaven!"
Luke 12:33: Jesus says, "Sell your possessions and give to the *POOR*. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also!"
2 Corinthians 6:4-10: "As servants:angel: of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance, in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots, in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness, in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; through glory and dishonor; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed, sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, *POOR**, yet making many rich; having *NOTHING*, and yet possessing everything!!":applause:
