Right, and sorry for being confusing...what I was trying to get across was that we shouldn't be enabling "false Christians" by compromising our beliefs/doctrines/standards just to get them into the church...because if we do that, we are handing all the "pearls of wisdom" to people who are going to disrespect, twist, abuse, and trample them.
What is the first verse of this passage talking about;Judging.
Yet when we read to verse 6 what are we to be doing:
Thats right we are to be making a judgement as to who are the dogs, swine and what are the Holy things and pearls.
The dogs and swine represent those that are unclean,or even unbelievers..
Lev 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
In the middle east and other countries to call someone a dog,or a pig/swine is a very derrogatory saying..
What things are to be holy/set apart unto YHWH.
What things constitute pearls.
Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Mat 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
This cannot be the Gospel,I believe this talks about Yeshua
and we are the Pearls of great price.
What is a pearl,or rather what makes a pearl..
A pearl starts out as something that has fallen into an oyster, usually a grain of sand.
Because this grain of sand irritates the Oyster, the oyster secretes mucos ( Oyster Snot ) to coat the irritating substance.
The oyster does this until the irritation stops, sometimes the irritation continues for a long time..
What then are the pearls we have,
Could these be the things that have irritated us,yet the Lord used those irritations to change us,and the irritations are being covered in Grace so that the irritations do not have the same effect as when they first started..
Many times christians do not give the Gospel to others, what they tell them are about the experiences the Lord has brought them through..
The Christians usually say,The Lord will do the same for you.
Yet when He does not jump through the hoops we set before Him,then those people get angry, and either turn on us,or they turn away from Yeshua..
