Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
The Word Gospel being understood as good news, glad tidings.esus
Why not look at Jesus and his proclaiming the good news:
Mt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Mt 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
It always amazes me how somehow some come up with the Statement Jesus requires you to repent of all your sins.
Why do you suppose Jesus never preached that?
Jesus came that man would no longer have to be separated from
God, the father's desire was to redeem man from Satan's dominion's and all his curses.
The church's message to the world is very simple
2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2nd Cor. 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2nd Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Hey PJ,thanks for sharing the Word of gOD with me.
Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
You forgot to post the rest of this Messianic Scripture.
Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
These next two verses show the results of the proclomation of the Gospel.
We also see these same results from Mark,
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
This next Sripture you posted is in response to Johns question about Yeshua being the Messiah.
Mt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Matt 11:2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
Matt 11:3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Matt 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
Matt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Matt 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
This Sripture you posted says:
2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Old things are passing away, and all things are becoming new.
In the mind of man, this is talking about a process of change:
In the mind of GOD,this act is already accomplished.
This word for new,is the Greek word 'καινός kainos'

2nd Cor. 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
This should be pretty self explainatory..
Everyone is in the Ministry.
2nd Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
This last verse is the Gospel in a few words.
PJ:Yes i need to hear the Gospel every day,to remind me of the Lord and His Love for me..
I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.
In this context - Repent (change one's mind of) impurity, sexual sin and debauchery.
Who said you had to remember every sin? You have to have a change of mind about sin. You have to see sin for what it. There is a why to jog a persons memory of the sins they've committed.
You shall have no other gods before me - Yes Lord I did that I repent of putting other gods before you.
You shall not make for yourself an idol - Yes Lord I did that I repent for all the time a made idols.
Do not take the name of the Lord in vain - Yes Lord I used your name in vain many times and I repent.
I get it, this post was in reference to one saying it is a watered down Gospel if sinners where not told to repent of sin, my point is that was never taught concerning bringing one into faith and the family. I am well aware of sin and it's ugly head.
I am not trying to be disrespectful towards you now like I usally am, I genuinly would like a straight simple answer from you about this. And please don't asnswer with a riddle or talk in circles.
hey and one more thing i wanted to suggest,,now please take this as my loving heart felt suggestion but wow i know i'm gonna hear it from somebody for this: so the Scriptures were given and written by people from Israel with this is mind,,i saw that one of you put some greek words up but instead of looking to the greek look to the Hebrew,,,the greeks did not always know what the Hebrews were talking about because Hebrew did not have punctuation then so some words that are written the same could have been translated wrong,,like in Zekaryah (Zechariah) 5 go read it now after you are finished every time you see the word woman replace it with fire,,
802 'ishshah ish-shaw' feminine of 376 or 582; irregular plural, nashiym {naw-sheem'}; a woman (used in the same wide sense as 582):--(adulter)ess, each, every, female, X many, + none, one, + together, wife, woman. Often unexpressed in English.
'eshshah esh-shaw' feminine of 784; fire:--fire.
the words are very similar woman('ishshah) and fire('eshshah) because this was not the usual word for woman and written without punctuation it would have been hard for the greeks to know,,it's like if you were reading the word toboggan in something a thousand years from now that was written in the south and by someone in the south well at least from NC they would be talking about a hat you wear on your head but the definition of the word is sled and people in new england area call it a sled ,,,so see what i mean,,now i know i have gone too far with this and there will be a slew of replies about how i am wrong about Zechariah's prophecy but besides that i wish you who are trying to teach or make a point would try to research the Hebrew words not any other language,,this WORD was not only given to Israel it was preached there first too,,the Torah was to be lived by them and they are to be still to this day a light to the nations,,and even though you may think you are on a different side,,,,there is a huge Messianic movement going on where people are learning about the Feast of YHWH and many are wanting to hear the truth about their pagan traditions they celebrate and get on with the true holidays,,,hahahaha boy there you go who wants some of that???? hahaha yeah it's true christmas is pagan so is easter and why does it matter if you do and say you do it to HIM well you ask HIM that,,,anyway so my point is look up the Hebrew and you will find so much more especially if you look at the ideographs,,they show you such a wonderful picture,,, start with the word "pitch"
phillipjohn
and while i am here and have your attention do you know that if you spent more time researching the Hebrew maybe you wouldn't have so much time to pick fights with people,,live the WORD i know i know i don't know you,,you are a model christian and you have it all under wraps cause it's all under the blood right,,,hahaha sorry go out a help some poor people rather than spending your time arguing with people ,,i am sure your a really nice guy but it is true what people say about you on here,,you pop in and talk in riddles,,come on really you think that YAHSHUA just said REPENT but we don't know the meaning and that HE didn't mean that come on brother,,where is this coming from??? do you just like to argue??? i know people that do and that is fine but these people are your brothers and sisters man,,don't be a stumbling block,,up-lift them with the truth brother not this well HE didn't mean that stuff it plain truth,,,
2398 chata' khaw-taw' a primitive root; properly, to miss; hence (figuratively and generally) to sin; by inference, to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causatively) lead astray, condemn:--bear the blame, cleanse, commit (sin), by fault, harm he hath done, loss, miss, (make) offend(-er), offer for sin, purge, purify (self), make reconciliation, (cause, make) sin(-ful, -ness), trespass.

i want you to know i love you very much and none of this was written with ill feelings or meanness,,i really love you i am just saying your a grow man arguing with people all the time go do something with you time,,,i say that with love ,,,okay so now let it out come on give it to me,,just remember i have no hate for you,,you can tell me what you think with love hahaha love love love love our MESSIAH YAHSHUA the SON of YAHWAH ELOHIM,,,
I am not arguing are you Ice Bro, In my experience with those that always want to go talk about other languages, seem to need a lot of attention to themselves.
But as you know all things you probable already know that, but I do not agree with you when there are those proclaiming that is not the word of God, it is not ok.
I understand the Gospel I have no problem with that, what I said it is not the Gospel to tell people they have to repent of their sins.
I believe is the same as Jesus preached and will bring the same results today, for he is the same yesterday and forever.
So if you do not want a water down Gospel, tell people they come come to the father, their sins are not imputed against them, in God's eyes they are already reconciled unto him, by Jesus's substitute.
