Has God Cast Off Israel Forever?

Based on what scripture teaches us, God is not through with Israel. There will be a remnant saved, the covenant promises God made with Abraham and David will be fulfill in its fullness.

What say you?

Et, some people have fallen under the false idea that the the church is now Israel. This is a false idea that somebody here may have had.

Other claim it is the USA.

I take scripture for what it says, not what some man tells me it says.

DontHitThatMark ,

You need to read Romans 11. Here's vss 25-32

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

For this [is] my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.

For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

God has concluded them, national Israel, in unbelief, blindness in part, until the fulness of the Gentiles come in. Once that occurs, most likely during the Trib, the Lord will then remove that blindness. The Deliverer will come and turn away ungodliness [unbelief] from Jacob [Israel as a nation]. Read Isaiah, read Jeremiah, read Hosea. The prophets spoke of this. Boast not against the branches.

God Bless!

SavedInChrist71 has it right. There is National Israel and there are the individuals who make up National Israel. Not all of the individuals Jews rejected Christ.

There was no "Church" during Pauls time and going back to the time of Christ. There were only synogogues. And both believers and non-believers met in the same synogogues. Synogogues were mostly run out of somebodys home.

God promised Abraham three thrings: land, nation, blessings. Israel has never in history owned all of the land that God has promised. So there is a promise that is yet to be fullfilled. And that is part of the Abrahamic covenant. And just to give you all an idea.. When did Israel control all of the land from great river of Egypt to the Euphrates (Iraq)?

God is not done with Israel. It's easy to see if you know the promises he made to His people in each of the covenants. There are promises in each of the covenants that have not been fulfilled yet.

Not saying He's not done with Israel...just saying that I don't believe He's going to wave a magic wand and all the descendants of Abraham will magically believe in Christ. There are Jews that don't even believe in God....do they come out of unbelief too?

That is what the bible says, whether we agree or not.

No chance of misinterpretation then? Because that would seem to go against a lot of the bible...to me anyway...

Mark, this is why it is utmost important to READ, and not SKIM throught the Bible, and/or what people post. There are many bible references to scriptures on this thread, but you have not read them, because it shows in your comments. The promises and covenant of God regarding the restoration of Israel, is Yes... God never takes back His word to keep a promise or fulfill His covenant, which is an oath against Himself.

IF you were READING those references and the Bible of these prophecies, you would not have any doubts about what GOD has saidi about Israel being saved, and her restoration.

Again, the Book of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others, and especially Hosea is proof of God's love for Israel, and gives clear prophecy of Israels' restoration, from beginning to end. But since you are NOT READING, and just SKIMMING, you will never see the big picture. Why not just take a skim through Isaiah chapter 40-66, and you will see clearly that The Lord our God will redeem ALL OF THE NATION OF Israel!

As Leon says, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, IT S WHAT GOD SAID, AND I say... THAT SETTLES THE MATTER.

Mark, Please go READ THE WORD so you will know without a doubt what is written, FOR IT IS WRITTEN!

And the good thing about it, no man on earth can change what God has already said and done, Israel is saved, and Israel has been saved... it just hasn't come to pass yet in the physical to be seen. Remember, we experience the things of God first in the physical (natural) THEN, the spiritual, so anything God speaks, you can rest assured, its already a done deal! PRAISE JESUS! Because God speaks those things that are not, as though they are.... that's the foreknowledge of prophecies, so Israel has been saved, and she is saved! Its done Right now!

DontHitThatMark, You said-

"Not saying He's not done with Israel...just saying that I don't believe He's going to wave a magic wand and all the descendants of Abraham will magically believe in Christ. There are Jews that don't even believe in God....do they come out of unbelief too?"

It's not a magic wand, Mark. It's called a covenant. And yes, the nation of Israel will come out of unbelief. The Lord will lift their blindness at His return. And redeem them.

Isaiah 43:1,8,10,25

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine.

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I, [even] I, [am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Zechariah 12:10

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

Zechariah 13:1

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Look at Romans 11:26-27 again-

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

For this [is] my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Now read Isaiah 59:20-21

And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

As for me, this [is] my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that [is] upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

God has a covenant with Israel, Mark. This covenant includes blotting out their transgression of disbelief. It is a promise to take away her sin and uncleanness, and a promise to never remember her sins. God loves Israel. Though she lives the harlot, God says in Hosea 2 that she will be betrothed to Him for ever, in righteousness and faithfulness. Whether you read what is offered or not, you've been given reference to and plenty of Scripture that supports this covenant and the fact that, as Paul says, "All Israel shall be saved", but you don't really offer any Scriptural support for why you disagree with this other than your idea of a "spiritual Israel" which is totally against those passages given you.

God Bless You

Jackie

Every single one of them? Even the ones that don't believe in God? That's the problem I'm having here, maybe you can explain it better, or at least in a different way. Apparently I'm too ignorant to understand the way you're currently explaining it:goofball:. The universalism you're using is confusing to me. God's just going to snap His fingers and even Jews that don't even believe in the covenant will suddenly switch over like robots? So people will be saved just because their great-great-great-great-great, etc. grandfather was Jacob? I must be missing something right?
