InfinityPosted : 22 Jun, 2010 12:47 PMI don't believe that people that end up in hell just "don't exist". They're punished according to their ways. I'd say Hitler will suffer a lot more than the average sinner, but I don't know. But God burns/punishes the entire earth right in front of the holy city. Sinners and all. So where is hell when God recreates the earth? |

InfinityPosted : 22 Jun, 2010 01:50 PMNo, it is God the judge who sends people to hell. How else would they get there, they do not go voluntary. He sends them because of their offenses against Him. Because of their SINS! People don't go line up out side a prison when they commit a crime, the judge sends them to prison. |

InfinityPosted : 22 Jun, 2010 02:46 PMIn other words when you run a stop sign and cause a wreck, it is the lord that punished you. |

InfinityPosted : 22 Jun, 2010 06:51 PMIn revelation 20. The wicked are raised from the dead, they gather outside the Holy City, and are judged and punished according to their works. "Death", "Hell", and whoever was not found in the book of life are thrown in the lake of fire and suffer the second death. No more pain, no more sin...and no sinners existing on fire in some wormhole off in the galaxy or whatever. All punished fairly and justly. I have been thinking a lot about God's character lately. When was the first time we humans actually saw God's character and motives in action? Jesus, right? So everything in the bible that God does has to be explained with the character of Jesus as the foundation. God and Jesus are the same. We only know what God is like through Jesus. So what would Jesus do when it comes to the punishment of sinners? Burn everyone in hell for eternity no matter what they did? Or judge and punish each according to their sin and then destroy them? |

InfinityPosted : 23 Jun, 2010 02:34 PM*sigh* We are not immortal now. We receive eternal life when Jesus comes. Do you believe sinners are immortal before they die and "go to hell"? Because Paul says God alone has immortality, and he also says we are "corruptible" and "mortal" until Jesus comes again. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus does not over-ride the rest of the bible. The typical interpretation of that parable contradicts so much of the bible that Jesus had to be trying to get another point across. There's a ton of verses...just this one is enough... |
