I am confused about why The Holy Spirit...

...seems to give one person an interpretation of Scripture and then gives another person an entirely different interpretation of that same verse or chapter.
I will hear people say The Holy Spirit "convicted me" or showed me or "Opened up my eyes" and gave me this Interpretation of this verse or chapter. They say this because they asked for The Holy Spirit to help them and they felt that He did.
So...does this mean that The Holy Spirit gives different interpretations to different people or is The Holy Spirit schizophrentic or are we just fooling ourselves and believing what we want to believe.
Do we have a Final Court of Appeal that we can go to and know that what they say is the Truth. What does Scripture say is the Pillar and Foundation of all truth. Because there is where we could go and have our questions answered with assurity of being correct.
The Pillar and Foundation of ALL TRUTHS! This would be where we can find All Truths! But where is the Pillar and Foundation of all Truths! Search for it in Scripture...it will be illuminating...it may change your life.
You said: "Any interpretation that are not against His words and beneficial are acceptable for we are God 's fellow workers."
I have to disagree with you as there is only one correct interpretation of each passage of scripture. While we can have different applications to a passage there is still only one correct interpretation. If someone misinterprets a passage it is against God's word. Make sense?
What I'm trying to say is that, not everyone has the same wisdom by the grace of God. Some are very eloquent in explaining and some are just plain simple. Take for example these three ministries ( Charles Stanley, The late Derek Prince, and Joyce Meyer ). The way they interpret or explain the word of God are different from each other but the context of their teachings are aligned with the words of God.
So the same goes to each one of us, we can interpret or explain a passage as plain and simple;but the others can interpret or explain it in a elaborate way by giving some examples. The deaf and the mute has their own interpretation for the very obvious reason. The bible for the children has it's own interpretation because they wouldn't understand the ones that we are using.
I hope this will clear your disagreement regarding my previous post and thanks for the welcome.
Great points to ponder out the Holy Spirit... there are two ways in which the Word is given to a disciple:
1) the LOGOS, the written statuatory word, such as: " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.." and, "Thou shalt not covet" and,
2) the RHEMA word, which is a specific revelation God has appointed for you by his Spirit, like a wind blowing, and it is common to those born of the Spirit:
John 3:8 " The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
A good Biblical example of the RHEMA word would be God's command to Noah:
Genesis 6:14 " Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch..."
The body of Christ is under the command "Thou shalt not covet" but not "Build thee an ark of gopher wood".
In 1 Cor 12 We get an idea of how the RHEMA word works thru the Spirit in the body:
1 Corinthians 12:11 "But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will..."
There are some 20 gifts of the Spirit listed in scripture, and he, the Holy Spirit, gives them on the spot as HE wills. We are not of necessity to shun recieving or using a gift because we are uncomfortable with it, it is the Spirit's will to give it, Psalm 68:18-19:
V18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
V19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
Skinny, this whole subject just adds wonder to the way God works thru those that are born of the Spirit. Thank you for opening up the subject.
