Why are people more likely to read a book written by a man or woman, then they are to read the Word of GOD Almighty. Many books have been written about the Scriptures, either for money, fame or to build a following. Messiah says As a gift you have been given, give as a gift a.k.a. freely you have been given, freely give. what then is wrong with giving the Word away for nothing. 2. Why are people more likely to quote what an author says about the Scriptures, instead of quoting the Scriptures. Post Reply

Posted : 22 Sep, 2020 07:46 PM Dave, I understand, yet i hear people talking about what this pastor said, what this speaker said, what books i have read, yet where does what GOD Almighty have to say. Jeremiah did not say, so and so says what about Isaiah he does not say, J Vernon Mcgee said, Nehemiah did not quote John Bunyon ( i know these men were not around during their times ), but you understand. In America, what GOD Almighty says does not take precedent as it should. I believe we need to get back to the Word and proclaim what is written, correct the errors contained within the translations and meet as the early believers met. Maybe we might see the Holy Spirit making His presence known, as He had done in earlier times. Post Reply

If Paul, the Holy Spirit inspired Apostle commended the Bereans for checking God’s word with everything Paul said, then surly today, we ought to be checking out everything our preachers say with God’s word. So fact checking isn’t anything new but only wise people learn how do it while the disobedient are deceived daily by unverified nonsense Post Reply
