Quiznos, in all due respect, (you know I agree with you on occasion because you make sense—sometimes, heehee) I think if we met we’d be friends because I have friends like you. Yes, we would still disagree but I would help them if they needed it.
But here, your posts don’t any make sense, whatever your take on tattoos.
First of all, your thread criticizes women for getting tattoos. Is it ok for men to get tattooed ? (Yes, I just now checked to see if you included men in you op-ed or elsewhere—didn’t see it. But you could embarrass me by quoting yourself if I missed it.
Second, you mention cattle having marks or tattoos but the only known cow headed to parlor for a tattoo on her own was staged for a FarSide cartoon. So cattle being herded and corralled for forced marking or branding hardly moves your tattoo argument forward.
Third, you liken people getting tattoos to those receiving the mark of the beast. Again, the mark of the beast differs significantly because it identifies satanic worshipers and enables them to shop.
Forth, you introduced the “mark of Cain” into the discussion without explaining what if anything it has to do with tattooing. Besides that, no one knows how God marked Cain.
What about people receiving the name of the Lord on their foreheads Rev 14:1 ?
I don't think that this is a very good argument against tattoos. Police also use dental x-rays. Should we avoid those? They use scars, too. Should we avoid those? How? Surgeries are sometimes necessary and accidents are often unavoidable.

I find that on this site and in this life a lot of people do not understand what i write or say.
I had gone out to eat with a friend,i made my order, the waitress returned with something completely different, my friend said did you not order chicken.
I find if a man talks about a subject that could include both men and women, but only the women are mentioned the reaction is not good.
Dental records are used only when the body is so badly burned or decomposed beyond recognition.
Now scars
Almost all tattoos a person recieves are by choice, SCARS usually are not, they can be from the results of accidents, injuries during sports, of surgeries.
Scars and tattoos usually have a story to be told.
