Ice cream is tempermental, as it mus be kept at 20 below zero in order to retain its solid state.

Ice cream begins to melt at 10 below zero, when ice cream has melted it is not good to refreeze the product.

Has anyone tried GELLATO, this is a lot thicker than ice cream, and does not melt as easy.

I Corinthians 6:18,19: **YOUR BODIES ARE TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THERFORE HONOR GOD WITH YOUR BODIES**

Leviticus 3:17: The Lord says, "This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. You must not eat any **FAT** or any **BLOOD**!"

This command of God implies that we should remove any obvious fat from the meat we eat and that we should cook meats with blood until it is well done in order to remove any blood.!

Most hamburger meat is sold in stores with 80 to 96 percent meat which also includes 4 to 20 percent **FAT**. Wendy's Jr. hamburgers have 9 % fat and 4% saturated fat. McDonald's Jr. hamburgers have 10% fat and 4% saturated fat. Hamburgers with Cheese and Mayonnaise you can double the above **FAT** Percentages.

Acts 15:20: We should write to the Gentiles, telling them to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from **BLOOD**.

Acts 15:29: You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from **BLOOD**, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality!

Acts 21:25: As for the Gentile believers, we have written to them our decision that they should abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from **BLOOD**, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality!

I Corinthians 6:13,15: The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body... Do you know that your bodies are members of Christ Himself!

**IS IT A SIN TO BE A GLUTTON**??

Definition of **GLUTTONY**: Excessive eating or drinking!

Proverbs 28:7: A discerning son heeds instruction, but a companion of **GLUTTONS** disgraces his father!

Deuteronomy 21:20: They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a **GLUTTON** and a drunkard."

Proverbs 23:19-21: Listen my son, and be wise, and set you heart on the right path. Do not join those who drink to much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and **GLUTTONS** become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags!

Proverbs 23:2: Put a knife to your throat if you are given to **GLUTTONY**. Do not crave its delicacies, for that **FOOD IS **DECEPTIVE**!

**PROCESSED MEAT IS GENERALLY CONSIDERED UNHEALTHY**!

It has been linked with diseases like cancer and heart disease in numerous studies.

There is no doubt that processed meat contains many harmful chemicals that are not naturally present in fresh meat.

Nitrates and carcinogens in processed meat can cause **CANCER**. Sodium in processed meats increases **BLOOD PRESSURE**. Saturated fat in processed meat can cause many **HEART** problems. Dangerous carcinogens can also be found in cigarettes, marijuana and coffee. Cigarettes are by far the major cause of **CANCER**!

**WHAT IS PROCESSED MEAT**??

Processed meat is meat that has been preserved by curing, salting, smoking, drying or canning.

Food products categorized as processed meat include:

Sausages, hot dogs, salami.

Bacon, ham.

Salted and cured meat, corned beef.

Smoked meat.

Dried meat, and beef jerky.

Canned meat.

**Bottom Line**: All meat that has been smoked, salted, cured, dried or canned is considered processed. This includes sausages, hot dogs, salami, bacon and ham.

Eating Processed Meat is Associated with an Unhealthy Lifestyle:

Processed meat has consistently been linked with harmful effects on health.

This is a fact that health-conscious people have been aware of for decades.

For this reason, eating high amounts of processed meat is more common among people with unhealthy lifestyle habits.

In fact, smoking is more common among those who eat lots of processed meat. Their intake of fruit and vegetables are much lower.

Most observational studies on processed meat and health outcomes try to correct for these factors. However, these methods are never perfect.

It is possible that the links found between processed meat and disease are partly due to the fact that people who eat processed meat tend to do other things that are not associated with good health.

Nevertheless, studies consistently find strong links between processed meat consumption and various chronic diseases.

Bottom Line: People who are not health-conscious tend to eat more processed meat. This may partly explain some of the associations found in studies investigating processed meat consumption and disease.

The ham refers to the thighs of a hog/pig, but in culinary terms ham is a processed meat product. It is rare to find green hams (butchered and unprocessed) for sale.

All beef {???} hot dogs with cheese contain about 20 percent fat and 10 percent saturated fat and regular hot dogs with cheese contain about 22 percent fat and 11 percent saturated fat as well as nitrates, carcinogens and sodium.

Most animal fat is composed primarily of saturated fatty acids and red meat is no exception. In fact, red meat is higher in saturated fat than many other types of meat. Due to this, it is recommended that you limit your intake of red meat and your portion size to 3 to 4 ounces. If you have a family history of heart disease or have had high blood pressure or cholesterol, your doctor may suggest eliminating red meat altogether.

**WHAT IS SATURATED FAT**??

It’s not always clear what we should or shouldn't be eating to improve our heart health – especially when it comes to fats. Despite what you read in the media, our advice is clear – replace saturated fats with unsaturated fats and avoid trans fats. Saturated fat is the kind of fat found in butter, lard, ghee, fatty meats and cheese. French Fries also have a large percent of saturated fat!

Eating a diet high in saturated fat is associated with raised levels of non-HDL (bad) cholesterol. This is linked to an increased risk of heart and circulatory disease. That’s why official recommendations emphasize the importance of reducing saturated fat in our diets which would also include cookies and chips!

But just replacing saturated fat with refined carbohydrates, like sugary foods and drinks, won’t improve your health. Replacing it with unsaturated fats such as oily fish, nuts, vegetables or chicken, does seem to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.

Remember, though, all types of fat are high in calories, so eating too much can lead to weight gain. Being overweight or obese is a risk factor for heart and circulatory disease, and many other diseases.

I Corinthians 6:18,19: Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the holy spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

I Corinthians 6:15: Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ Himself!

Leviticus 19:26,28: God says, "Do not eat meat with the **BLOOD** still in it!"... "Do not put **TATTOO MARKS** on yourselves. I am the Lord!"

Philippians 3:18-21; Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body!!

Quiznos,

I had a good amount of gelato when I was in the Army and stationed over in Germany. It was good stuff. Pretty much all of it was homemade and the shops would make their own whipped cream as well. It wasn't as sweet as the stuff you normally buy at stores, which I think made it better. Of course what's also different in the shops is it's normal to have alcohol poured over your sundae. You could get it without alcohol as well, but there were far less options.

Another think I loved was the brick over pizza. It's more like a giant pizza cracker with toppings than the thicker stuff you see mostly in the United. States.

Toth

How about pizza cooked in a brick oven with wood for the fire, there are a couple here in Jersey.

To make good pizza you need good flour, good water ( not tap water) water in Jersey and Philly have a lot of chlorine which is not good for anyone, live yeast.

Mix the water, flour, yeast with some salt to the consistancy you want.

Whole mozzarella, not the half and half kind that stretches from coast to coast.

Next whole peeled tomatoes, fresh are best, but canned can work also, then smash the toms with a potatoe masher or squish them by hand until they are like soup.

Then you need a little fresh parmasean cheese to sprinkle on the edge and a bit of oregano.

After making the dough, cut off about a pound of dough to make a large pie, a little more for extra large, etc.....

Quiznos,

I've had authentic brick oven pizza in Germany and Italy. I've also seen it in the United States, but it's a bit different here. Still some is good. I prefer it over the pan pizzas with all the fluff.

Brandy,

Thanks for sharing and bringing brightness to the forum. :)

God bless.
