This topic might be not loved by many lukewarm Christians, but as a God fearing Christian I must to tell the Truth. Mark 10:11-10. Jesus clearly explains when Pharesies asked Him the question about it is lawful for a man to divorce his wife, tempting Him. Also after putting down those hypocrites, the disciples asked Jesus the same question. Jesus replied that divorce and remarriage is adultery. Also it was warned by Jesus in Luke 16:18. Likewise John The Baptist had to do God's duty to warn King Herod Antipas who took Herodias, his alive brother Phillip's wife. John had to warn the king, if he won't put away his unlawful wife and repent, the king was on his road to Hell. So, for this Godly kindness to the king, John was beheaded. If we look at other verses where Jesus disciples like Peter, Paul, and James warn in their Holy Epistles like Hebrews 13:4, 1st Corinthians 6:9-10, James 4:1-7, and so on and on. Yes, those who abide in adulterous remarriages due to divorces will not go to Heaven likewise sodomites, fornicators, drinkers, revelers, idolaters, and other unrepentant sinners who are proud of their sins. Remember, we can't serve tow masters God and Satan. Either we love of of them and hate another. Remarriage in the Bible God indeed allows only on one cause :' to wit : if one of the spouses dies. Death of a spouse frees the surviving spouse from marital oath, till death we part. The surviving spouse has rights to remarriage with God's blessing. Only the new found mate must not be a divorcee. For marriage unto divorces is adultery and a broad road to Hell. The new mate must be or a bachelor ( never married ) or also widowed. Post Reply

Posted : 7 May, 2020 05:50 PM I don't have any anger to adultery issues as well as to gay issues, drinking issues, etc. I do what God tells in the Bible, not what people tell and misunderstand the Bible. Besides adultery, homosexuality, idolatry, etc , there are many deceptions in modern mainstream churches from Darby's and Scottfield's pre tribulation rapture fables , free will, etc. I was once a lukewarm Christian myself. But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife **EXCEPT FOR SEXUAL IMMORALITY**!" However it is almost impossible to divorce your believing wife in the New Covenant according to the words of Jesus who also commanded to forgive your brother or wife 7 times 70 times* or 490 times in Matthew 18:22! I Corinthians 7:12-15: If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her {Even if she commits adultery}. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife. Otherwise you children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbeliever **LEAVES**, let it be so. The brother or the sister **IS NOT BOUND** in such circumstances. God has called us to live in peace! The believing husband or wife is then free to marry a believing wife or husband. You can only remarry an unbelieving wife or husband who leaves you if they then become a born from above Christian since Christians are forbidden to marry or renarry unbelievers as per I Corinthians 7:39. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Posted : 8 May, 2020 03:30 PM hawky this is from your previous post -- Sexual immorality during marriage gives no right to remarry, if even divorce did happened due to spouse's fault. The innocent party spouse must fear God and don't remarry. Otherwise he or she will end up in Hell as the guilty spouse will do for committing adultery. _---- alll i can say is you are wrong. Her husband has had homosexual sex with a man. 3. Her husband has had sex with an animal. 4. Her husband has had sex with a relative. 5. Her husband no longer wishes to be married to her because of her Christian faith. In any of the five above cases the believer may pursue a divorce. you can substitute "his" for "hers" Post Reply

Posted : 8 May, 2020 04:14 PM The Bible doesn’t address the issue of physical abuse as a potential justification for divorce, but it does say a variety of things about abuse. The first thing that should be said is that physical abuse is a sin. The Bible commands a Christian to: Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness (1 Timothy 6:11 ESV). Husbands are told: Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered (1 Peter 3:7 ESV). The Bible commands all Christians to be gentle in their dealings with one another, and it tells husbands to be understanding towards their wives and to treat them with special honour. Therefore all forms of physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse would be forbidden and are sin. It’s also worth noting that the Bible disqualifies abusive men from serving in leadership positions within the church. In 1 Timothy 3 Paul says: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded … not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money…. (etc.) (1 Timothy 3:1–4 ESV) Physical abuse is a sin and it disqualifies a person from serving in leadership in the church. It is also against the law. A woman who has been hit by her husband ( vice versa) should do two things immediately. First, she should call the police. The Bible says that the king does not bear the sword in vain: For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer (Romans 13:4 ESV). God gives the government the authority to restrain evil and to punish evildoers. Government officials are charged by God to restrain evil and to punish evildoers. The second thing an abused Christian woman should do is call her pastor or the elders of her church. If the husband is a member of the church he should immediately come under discipline. If he does not repent, then the church does not believe that he is truly saved. In the eyes of the church, the woman is now married to an unbeliever, with all that that implies – see grounds for divorce #5 as detailed above. Post Reply
