Jesus prayed that we all be ONE and that people would know us by our love. Therefore I'll pose the question: If we are not loving each other, but dividing, name calling, hating and condemning each other over Christian doctrines, are we really following Jesus? Or has the devil infiltrated Christianity as a spirit of religiosity and knowledge puffing us up and dividing us?
Let's take a couple denominations that main stream Christianity classifies as "Cults"; Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons. I used to be puffed up with knowledge and could easily and proudly hold my own when debating members of these "Cults" in games of Bible verse karate. However after many years of studying and by the grace of God and the understanding bestowed on me, I came full circle. Who was I to judge and condemn people I didn't know, who apparently love God enough to give up their time and go door to door telling people about God?
Sure, I can and still do discuss their doctrines, but I no longer see them as "Cultists", but rather brothers and sisters loving God differently. I can't judge their hearts. God is their ONLY judge. And what happened?! They love coming to my house and discussing God. I have inadvertently made new friends, because I didn't judge them, but instead loved them.
Jesus said a house divided will not stand. How can we hope to stand if we are divided into 33,000 parts?
I believe true Christians are united in Christ and do not let doctrinal disputes divide them. Salvation is in following Jesus, there is NO OTHER WAY!

It's like a battle sometimes over who can be the most redundant.
You say he "has a demon" and he says you're "satanic." He repeats scripture over and over, you repeat your complaints about him, sometimes verbatim. Seriously, it's like a war of who can be the nuttiest. Just put your differences aside and join in on the friendly conversation.

Chuckles comes to a Christian Forum teaching about 95 percent of what Orthodox Jews believe since he believes we are saved by doing good works and obeying OT laws. If anyone disagrees with his teaching Chuckles claims they are a racist ant-Semite, and an unrepenting **LIAR** who misuses and wrongly translates Scripture. He also hogs about 66.6 Percent of the new threads. Actually he is a terrible theologian and is only good at taking one out of context Scripture to prove his teachings. The only other thing Chuckles is good at is calling everyone who disagrees with his Satanic teachings, terrible names.

God the Father inspired the 32 writers of the OT to write what He wanted them to write. Just as God the Father gave Jesus all authority in the New and better Covenant of faith and love.

Chuckk, there factions is because false doctrines need to be exposed for what they are. Thatâs one service you prophetic serve up, you help him set up false teachings he hasnât thought of yet and I expose them.

One major reason false teachings abound is because some people are just âtoo niceâ to argue. They think all arguments are bad. Too bad Jesus, the prophets and the apostles didnât get that post-it note.
Forbidden arguments are those that are bitter, characterized by a lack self-control and amount to unnecessary bickering. I think Iâve done that a few times, myself
Arguments that are beneficial are like those conducted by Jesus, the prophets and the apostles who made their case for right doctrine while refuting false teachers. Constructive argumentation is hardly much different from a lawyer preparing his case to be argued in a court of law before jury and judge.

If you read the OP Topic carefully, you'll notice it says debating issues is acceptable. Judging and condemning other Christians to hell because their doctrines not applicable and explicitly taught for salvation differ from ones own.
