Posted : 20 Dec, 2014 07:10 PM Hello everyone: In Numbers chapter 15 we have an interesting section of the Word of GOD Almighty where a man had to be stoned for gathering sticks. The text does not say for what purpose these sticks were to be used for,yet the man had been judged by YHWH to be stoned to death. My question is WHY was this man stoned to death for ? Was it because he had broken GODS law OR is there a different reason. Num 15:32 And while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day. Num 15:33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. Num 15:34 And they put him under guard; for it had not been declared what should be done to him. Num 15:35 And Jehovah said to Moses, Dying the man shall die; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp. Num 15:36 And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And he died, as Jehovah commanded Moses. Blessings Post Reply

Posted : 24 Feb, 2015 04:28 AM Hi, as others have commented, we are saved by grace and not works, that is true. but Faith without works is dead. the law is a guide that we ought to follow so as to show forth our Works. Our works show to the world the work of Christ in us. This gospel of the grace not works is killing the body of Christ Friends i will quote Paul's words in Romans" Shall we continue to sin that Grace may abide" The funny thing is that the world knows how a christian saved by grace should behave and if you do anything contrary: the world we make mention of it more than someone who is not christian. it so a shame that the church is running away from works and upholding the grace yet this is the yardstick the world uses to measure the work of Christ in us Let us go back to the principles of our faith and stop preaching this gospel of grace not works. the grace should give us the ability to work out our salvation with fear and trembling knowing that one day we shall account before Him Post Reply
