The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Pro 22:7

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. Rom 13:8

According to the verses above God's word says that one who borrows from another person becomes that person's slave. And that we must not owe anything to anyone except love.

Question:

Does that mean that if a Christian dies with an unpaid mortgage, a car loan, etc.., then he/she will die in disobedience?

Spreading the gospel is the only thing that is important. Focus on the good news!

What is more important than SALVATION ?

Strive to be righteous and talk about grace through faith everywhere you go! Be kind to one another. Be a watchman and make it your business to know what is really going on in the world so you can tell everyone you know.

Noone cares what you know until they know that you care!!!

The greatest of these is LOVE.

Love human beings by bearing the good news.... and being a watchman.

I agree we should be sharing the gospel with the lost. However; todays Christians are apostate and getting more apostate. The proof is out there.

That is a very cute cat!

God says (both in Scripture and through the Holy Spirit)..my dear child...don't sin (it will only hurt you), but if you do sin realize and don't ever forget... you have an advocate with the Father! (See 1 John 2:1)

Acts 15:10-11

Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?

No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Romans 4:1-8

1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast aboutbut not before God. 3 What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

4 Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5 However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

7 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."

Ahh, its looking like a discussion!

Hey mimi, your preaching to the quire regarding the apostate church, its bad and yea getting worse, personally I blame it on all modern bibles, lots would say its because God has been taken out of schools. In reality though apostasy has been growing since Christ 2CO 11:4. blessings back at ya mimi!

hidden, nice queuing of the verses, where'd that come from? I love the product when the Holy Ghost convicts!

My granddaughter ask, grandpa why do people stomp and shout and say, Ill never live under a king and turn right around and say, I want to live under my King for eternity? I said, its all in the caps sweetheart! hehe Again she ask, grandpa why do you say this is not my home when we're home? I told her, well because sweety we really have a mansion! hehe Then she asked, grandpa why does the bible say "there was no harm in the pot" and you keep chewing my dad's behind about the pot?, WHOOSH! I replied, ahhh honey its all in the context! Finally she asked, grandpa how do you know all this stuff? I just smiled and said, its simple sweetheart its all written down here in our authorized Kind James bibles! ;~)

Hi Mimi:

I see that you believe that when a person breaks a command that person is an 'APOSTATE'.

Hmmm,by your understanding you are an apostate,as the ONLY person to have never broken a commandment of GOD Almighty was,and always will be Yeshua.

Here is the Biblical definition of the Word 'APOSTASY',and where we find the word within the Scriptures.

English-apostasy

Greek-ἀποστασία, ας, ἡ

Strong's Concordance

apostasia: defection, revolt

Original Word: ἀποστασία, ας, ἡ

Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine

Transliteration: apostasia

Phonetic Spelling: (ap-os-tas-ee'-ah)

Short Definition: defection, apostasy

Definition: defection, apostasy, revolt.

HELPS Word-studies

646 apostasa (from 868 /aphstēmi, "leave, depart," which is derived from 575 /ap, "away from" and 2476 /histmi, "stand") properly, departure (implying desertion); apostasy literally, "a leaving, from a previous standing."

Just because a person does not pay taxes is no reason to call that person an apostate.

I believe Messiah dealt with this.

Luke 6:42 Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, allow me to take out the chip in your eye, not yourself seeing the log in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the chip in your brother's eye.

Now Mimi,if you believe a person is an apostate whet should you be doing according to the Word of GOD.

Gal_6:1 Brothers, if a man is overtaken in some deviation, you, the spiritual ones, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, that you not also be tempted.

By not doing as the Word of GOD 'COMMANDS' you to be doing, are you not judging yourself as to being an 'APOSTATE'.

Repent Believe the Gospel.

Mar 1:15 and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.

flyby,

The apostasy is not because of which bible translation is used. There are many apostate KJB only advocates.

Hello Gracenotworks,

I agree that if I have not spoken the truth in a spirit of meekness then I must repent. If I have offended you in any way, I apologize, please forgive me.

So we see how easily it is for anyone to justify doing what we think is right in our own eyes and I am not immune to it.

I pray every day for the Lord to give me speach that is gentle and encouraging without compromising Biblical truth.

We will all give an account to God for every deed, word and thought. Why you aren't paying taxes is between you and God. You will have to explain it to Him. I hope He accepts your explanation.

Blessings!

Mimi

Mimi I do believe God has said that there is wisdom in the multitude of counsel. Has he not?

I see where you posted this same thing on CM and youve had over 24 replies. I guess youve got many coming against your majoring in the minors? Do you always think you are right? Is there ever a time where you back down because youve seen where you err?

Also, Im very saddened for you in the case of you making blanket statements about christians being apostate. You are putting yourself in a position to be judged by God by the same measure!

So youve never met a christian face to face that wasnt apostate huh? WOW!! Those are some strong words mimi!!

Lukewarm or having little understanding is not apostate. We are called to bring people out of error gently with love. How can you hope to help people for Gods glory when you have alienated them with your harsh labels?

Apostasy is permanent (impossible to renew them to repentance). It is a renunciation of ones faith and a departure from God.

You need to repent and remain quiet until you have gained a true understanding on things.
