Kindness is a good thing...

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Knowing it is one thing...putting it into practice is another.

May the Lord truly bless and keep you all!

"I submit that we would all get along better if we had a renewed focus on discussing biblical things by making sure we are within the context in our interpretation of passages and making sure we are considering the original languages when we can. We can live the principles in scripture out in a way that is much more pleasing to God if we first truly understand the principles within their original context and how they relate to us in this day. IMO there can be no discussion on the practicality of a message before the message can be understood. I hope we can move forward in a better way."

Looks like truth, mixed with kindness, understanding and an attempt for unity.

As is consistent with his behavior in the past, LTM makes interesting comments about "living in freedom" and "by faith" while refusing to explain what any of these mean. If people wonder why there is never any understanding...this is the reason. How can people understand when he never explains when confronted?

Please love one another as HE LOVED YOU.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

If the Father gave his Son. And Christ paid the price. Who are we to condemn or look down on one another? The Father is perfectly capable of judging us. Is anyone here worthy to step into the Father's shoes and do his job for him?

><>

But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written,

As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me,

And every tongue shall give praise to God.

So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

"There's was nothing funny about what Christ said. What's funny really is the fact that Christ said all these really good things about love thy neighbour and everything...and then for the next 2,000 years people are killing each other, torturing each other, because they can't quite decide how he said it."

It's really sad when people who don't even know Christ, or have a relationship with him, have more of a clue to what the Kingdom is about than the self righteous, judgmental, egotistical "Christians" who proclaim "Christ is Lord".

I think it's about time for some remedial courses in "LOVE 101", don't you?

And He said to them, Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18

Valde...if you will notice, I promoted a better way forward towards peace and understanding in your thread. It was rejected.

No, actually I don't. I do however think that is past time for some courses in "TRUTH 101" since that seems to be TOTALLY absent here. This is why so many folks here don't have any clear understanding of the "love" that they are even promoting.

And I have grown real weary of those here who continue to sit in a self righteous position of constantly condemning those who speak the truth for some how being "unloving", "unkind" and a whole host of other "uns"

There are those who have no ability to discern the difference between one who is striving and contending for the truth of the faith vs. one who is just striving in his own flesh and causing division. They are NOT the same type of strife.

Yummy. Popcorn with salt and olive oil seasoned with the hottest pepper in the world found only in the outskirts of India.

Who likes spicy food?

It's all a big joke to you isn't it, Michael? Pop some popcorn and enjoy another round of drama.... I have seen a lot of progress from people here. Yet, you continue to stir the pot.
