Does God know everything we're doing, everywhere, all-the-time? Using an old experiment from quantum physics (Young's et al.) I think we can scientifically prove He isn't.
Young's experiment involves shooting a beam of light through two slits in a sheet of paper onto a wall opposite. Because light particles behave like a wave and a particle, the way they show up on the far wall depends on whether someone's observing or not (a cornerstone of quantum theory - that we alter reality simply by observing it.) But if God were omnipresent, He should be the observer required to make light behave just one way all the time.
In Judaism, we pray aloud (no silent prayer) which seems to suggest that God doesn't read minds either (directly contrary to Christianity with how Jesus says in Matthew think it is, "...a man looking at a woman with lust in his eyes has already commited adultery with her..." As in, thoughts can be sinful. Claims that God possesses various attributes like mind-reading, omnipresence, etc. don't seem to be supported by Scripture:
In Genesis, God calls out to Adam as though He didn't know where he was. Then again asking Able where Cain was. And so on. These could be literary devices of course, but they're repeated often enough to raise the question of whether God really "sees all that we do."
Sure, God is Omnipresent, because GOD IS INFINITE IN HIS BEING... I think Jude posted the scripture passage to prove this Psalm 139... but even so if a person does undersatnd the meaning of Omnipresence, then one would not understand how He is everywhere at all times. Becasue He is GOD, this within its self declares who He is, He is Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His wisdom, HIs being His power, His holiness, His justice, HIs goodness, His mercy, His grace, and HIs truth.
And not only is God Omnipresent but He is also Omnipotent, and Omnscient.... HE IS GOD and as Shaklom no one can describe Him, becasue He JUST IS!... ino ther words GOD IS ! and this is the only description for HIm,... He IS!
ooops Corrections, And not only is God Omnipresent but He is also Omnipotent, and Omnscient.... HE IS GOD and as Shalom said, no one can describe Him, because He JUST IS!... no other words to describe Him but to say that GOD IS ! and this is the only description for HIm,... He IS!
Side Bar, and one day He is going to teach me how to type!:yay::dancingp:
Anything 'real' is by definition quantifiable and explainable by some science, even God. We may not yet have the physics, math, or biology to explain it (or singularities for that matter,) but it'll be there (the only way science could never prove/disprove God would be if God wasn't native to this universe in which case the physics governing His actions would be different and not bound by this universe's Laws.) Only imaginary things can't be defined by science. But because I believe God is a literal thing, I know science can explain it.
Can quote Scripture all day long, but since it's all based upon faith, none of it is useful in PROVING anything about God. The Young's experiment PROVES how light behaves, and how it can behave as either a wave, or a particle depending only upon whether or not there's someone observing it. Science doesn't require faith or belief and regardless of who does the experiment, everyone will get the same result over and over and over again.
You are asking when the Refrigerator door closesdoes the Light go off. You cant know until You Open the door. But, the very Act of Opening that DoorAlters the Experiment!
Creation week involved things OUTSIDE of The Laws of PHYSICS! God is OUTSIDE these Laws because God CREATED them!
Also Omnipresent means
Present in all places at all times.
Againwhat does that have to do with Youngs Experiment?
NowOmniscient means
 Having total knowledge; knowing everything.
AgainI do not see how Youngs Experiment has anything to do with this?
sooooo, POIC. when you name yourself as the Mouth of God, does this mean you are now speak on behalf of God? That's rather bold isn't, and using God's name in vain?
Last time I read what God had said, using His name in vain is a sin and blasphemey of His name since what you speak is not of God nor is half of what you speak anything God Himelf would say,nor had God appointed yu as His spokesperson...
I think you had better check and balance yourself ond your new name signature, and to a turn about... and change your signature... Thou shall not take the Lord's name in vain...
I can't view Youtube videos. 11 year old computer and OS/Flash incompatibilities.
As to those unfamilar with Young's experiment, go google it like an adult instead of dismissing it when you admit you don't know what it's about.
And you're all STILL not getting my point. There's a scientific experiment that seems to disprove God being omnipresent. So with that staring you in the face, do you have another scientific experiment that does? Scripture isn't science, nor proof.
