I have been taught a couple different meanings of what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is and am wondering if I have the accurate interpretation, please advise.
NO, I would have to disagree we can't find nothing in the book of Acts to suggest wherein Paul blasphemed the Holy Spirit of God. Although he was known for much persecutions against the church and God charged him with consenting to the murder of Stephen by holding the coats of those who stoned him, and he did nothing to stop them, and though he murdered many Christians, there is nowhere that we are told he blasphemed God or the Holy Spirit, although he states he was a blasphemer which is to say he spoke out against Christians and the church and their teachings, but never do we find where Paul spoke out agianst the Holy Spirit of God.
If one would like to consider Paul a blasphemer against the Holy Spirit, for speaking out against the church and the things of God then, all those on this forum can be consdiered blasphemers against the Holy Spirit, becasue may speak things they know not out of ignorance, and think they are speaking on behalf of God.
Many on this forum speak against the works of the Holy Spirit of God in ignorance not knowing what they say... BUT I really don' thnk God is such a narrow-minded God that He would charge this to them as blasphemy because He already knows they are in spiritual darkness and ignorance of who He is spiritually and His works.
Paul was convienced that he was doing God's work without doubt in unbelief and was honoring God as we are told In Acts chapter 29, and when Jesus confronted him, this is why Jesus asked him why was he kicking agianst the prickswhich mean the sharpeness of truth. And after Paul's little talk with Jesus he immediately saw the error of his ways and repented. Many sinners who are confronted with the error of their ways refuse to repent, and they do speak out against the Holy Spirit of God in malice and hostility there is a difference.
Paul calls himself the worse of sinners becasue he was very bold in what he was doing, yet he saw his ways and considered himself as nothing when compared to the things of God, which many sinner do not. This is also why God used him so mightily, Paul had determination and was diligent in what he was doing for his religious beliefs and therefore, he became the leader of Judism, welll educated in the law of his religion as a Pharisee
I call Paul a 1st century terrorist until God got a hold of him. Praise God for the 13 books in the New Testament that he wrote, and his determination never failed him. He was so devoted as a leader of Judism and fought for what he thought was right, and when he was converted he fought for the gospel never settling for less in seeing to it that the gospel fo Jesus Christ was preached to the Paul in holy boldness. Many so-called Christians today are afraid to fight for anything concerning God's word.
Many sinners are converted to Christianity who are today calling themselves born again Christians, but they are sitting back on their hind-parts doing nothing for the gospel. But when they were in the world they raised all kinds of hell and defended a lie. But now as Christians they see wrong and never do nothing or say a word to speak out agianst wrong... makes me wonder whose side they are on.
Paul was consistant, he spoke out before his conversion, and continued to speak out even the more after his conversion...
as the old saying goes, if you don't stand for something, you wil lie down to everything. I love Paul because he was a true fighter and this is what God loves...

A few days ago ET said:
"And since you have brought up these passages about women preaching in the church, but you have been unable to relate them to this prophecy by Jeremiah in 31:22, don't forget these are God's words not according to what Paul says, but according to what God declares that "A woman shall compass a man" and God overrules everything Paul and every man has to say."{???????}
So I would assume that ET has repented and changed her mind about Paul's commands inspired by God as follows:
Ephesians 4:22-24: "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."
1 Timothy 2:11,12: A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent."
I Corinthians 33-35: "As in **ALL** the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
ET:
Would you now say that a woman who preaches to men in the church is contradicting the inspired Words of God above in the New Covenant??
Richard, what in the name of the Lord are you talking about in your above post? It appears you have a problem with women in ministry in particular women who preach and teach God's word... maybe you should take this matter up with God since women who minister are not ministering your word, and since God hasn't spoken to them to sit down, what's your beef?
I don't have a clue as to what your above post is intended to means. So explain your point please.
Oh, yeah, in case you Richard for got the other things I said , let me refresh your memory...
ELLA ALSO SAID: YOU ARE NOT MY HUSBAND AND LAST TIME I CHECKED I WAS NOT MARRIED TO NOT ONE SINGLE MAN ON THIS FORUM, THEREFORE, THE SCRIPTIRUE SAYS A WIFE, NOT WOMAN, BUT A WIFE IS TO SUBMIT TO HER OWN HUSBAND... so since I have no husband on this forum, that's out.
I ALSO SAID: AND SINCE THIS FORUM IS NOT A CHURCH THEREFORE , I WILL NOT KEEP SILENT!!
I think you have some women in ministry issues going on here and you must understadn and know, that you nor can any man on this forum or anywhere else for that matter, silence me from speaking what God has given me...
Now, I can only speak for myself, not the other women who are in ministry on this forum, they can do their own speaking...
BUT I SPEAK FOR MYSELF, as Paul, you didn't call me into ministry to do what I do, and for sure you nor any man on this forum or on earth can stop me... Paul didn't call me into ministry either, God called me, so if I'm in disobediebnt to what Paul has written then you let God silence me and sit me down. But you nor any other man surely will not have say or parts of sitting me down.
Darling, I have been in ministry for over 25 years, and God has worked through me and in me, and sent me place you nor any other man will go ... so my call is not of you or of Paul, but of, and from God HImself...:bow:
Sounds like you have some men jealousy issues going on, so maybe you should have a little talk with Jesus, and He'll make it alright:dancingp::zzzz::peace: you and men who think like you make me laugh trying to ver rule God's work just becasue a woman is doing it:ROFL::excited: have a drink on the house:Mug::Mug::toomuch:
