People throw that term around a lot on this site. Can someone explain to me what a "so-called" Christian is? Are those using it saying a person isn't a Christian?
Did I just read you right?! Did you just give Chevy an ultimatum to apologize to Ella or else you're leaving this forum?! And then tell him he's has to PROVE it?! Haha! Whew! Sister, Sister, Sister...that's hilarious! Especially since he posted an apology to anyone he offended. Haha!
Do me (and yourself) a favor..Go to one of Ella's posts and just under her picture, you'll see the word 'History'. Click on it and read what Ella has written to others; see how hateful she is; not just to chevy, but everyone except you and one other. Then you can see for yourself.
You do not love people if you do not obey teaching of Jesus!
So, NOTE: God needs your OBEDIENCE and LOVE.
"This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out His commands. This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome" (1 Jn. 5:3).
God Jesus said:
As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day" (Jn. 12:47, 48).
Why should we judge bad behavior of Christians?
Let me explain you that:
The Bible also exhorts us to beware of evildoers and false prophets and to avoid those who practice all kinds of evil. How are we to discern who these people are if we do not make some kind of judgment about them? There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercisewith careful discernment (John 7:24). If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his duty to confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hopeand with the ultimate goalof bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship with God and people. Thats why I pointed out sins of this man and I gave his solution how he can get right with God and Ella (by asking for forgiveness).
We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequencesthe Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
I did it. If your reaction is against Gods words said in these verses above, then NOTE that you disobey God and even sin! Punishment for sin is death- says God. Thats why you all need to repent and ask God to forgive your sins!
Note also: we are to follow God's commands such as:
"... you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you" (1 Cor. 5:11-13);
We must NOT ASSDOCIATE with them!!!!
"Hate what is evil; cling to what is good" (Rom. 12:9) and
"...watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them" (Rom. 16:17),
Then the question is: Should we judge? God says that YES.
We are commanded to judge fellow believers concerning their personal life. The Corinthians were told to, "...expel the wicked man from among you...so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord" 1 Cor. 5:13, 5.
But God has already CONDEMNED those who do not obey Him. They all confront Him and His Truth.
Those, who confront Him and do not want to conform to His Truth, condemn themselves. And God condemns them: John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
