Two fathers are watching their children play near a busy interstate highway. The children wander closer and closer to the traffic.

The first father says, "Please come back children! I beg you! You are in danger! Come to me!"

The second father runs to his children, snatches them up and brings them back to him where they are safe.

Which father truly loves his children?

James, ask and you shall receive :

Rev 3:20 "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

James, is knocking on a door a command or a request? And why even request to come in if there is no free will? If they are elect, God being sovereign has no need to knock, just walk on in,.....right?

Please share what the study notes say on this verse in your Reformation Study Bible.

Jesus is knocking on the door of a church there, not on the door of man's heart. Look at the context

LSU,

You guys never cease to amaze me? How is you can not see the words "anyone" "him" "he"? Is Jesus speaking to a Church building or individuals in a Church? Huh???

good grief!

:goofball:

I do my best to consider you brothers in the Lord, however the way you twist Scripture makes me wonder sometimes.

Two it is by choice, by free will they harden their hearts against the truth.

When you receive a corrupted seed you will then see all that you see and hear in the light of men.

!st John teaches about this:

 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If you refuse , reject the word, you reject the light that cometh from the word and walk into darkness.

James you see with the glasses of repentance, the clarity of the written word of God.

Show us where man 's will is unable to respond to God.

Try telling Jesus natural mother, Mary she could not hearing the angel and respond to God.

Janes Shared ~ I for one, am NOW ASKING FOR SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS WE HAVE FREE WILL. I am from Missouri, so SHOW ME where you have free will.

John 1:13 Which 3739 were born 1080, not 3756 of 1537 blood 129, nor 3761 of 1537 the will 2307 of the flesh 4561, nor 3761 of 1537 [[[ the will 2307 of man ]]] 435, but 235 of 1537 God 2316.

2 Peter For 1063 the prophecy 4394 came 5342 not 3756 in old time 4218 [[[ by the will 2307 of man ]]] 444: but 235 holy 40 men 444 of God 2316 spake 2980 [as they were] moved 5342 by 5259 the Holy 40 Ghost 4151.

*** Its stated in the WORDThe Will of Manregardless that persons on this Site refer to it as Free Willits non the less Mans Will that is Often used Freely in Dis-ObedianceAnd to Answer the question asked by the Poster...Each Father Loves the Same...It is the Perspective of the On Looker that is Differant...xo

Two, I submit that verse is not a simple as you make it seem. Well it is, you just have to read it in context. I suggest you do.
