Jeremiah 18 1-10 "........But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the LORD came to me: " O house of Israel, can not I do with you as this potter does?......If at any time I announce a nation...is to be...destroyed...and if it repents of its evil, then I will relent....if...I announce a nation is to be built up....and it does evil....then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it."

If Calvinists read the whole Bible then perhaps they wouldn't misunderstand the pottery verses in Romans 9.....don't ya think?

Lsu It is called Faith and the father is the author of faith and our example of faith, and faith sees all of mankind saved, that is the father's faith, man's faith is what brings him into the family, not regeneration then believe, that violates the law of faith.

LSU,

God DOES have power over the clay, however as this and other passages teach, God's shaping of the clay is determined by two things, : 1) Gods good pleasure 2) The reaction of the clay to the shaping.

The verses are crystal clear, don't let your doctrine blind you to truth.

PJ - Lsu It is called Faith and the father is the author of faith and our example of faith

Ryan - I get that. Your response just didn't seem to follow the verses posted by two

Two - The verses are crystal clear, don't let your doctrine blind you to truth.

Ryan - You posted the verses in an attempt to say they explained the verses in Romans which are also crystal clear. Neither give man power over the potter. That much IS clear.

How often I would have gathered you but YOU WOULD NOT.

Two, God already knows who will and who will not so to suggest that He is intending one thing and then man somehow changes God's mind is reading into the text what is not there.

My response is in lieu of what you said above, faith calls things that be not as though they where, he does not think as you suggestted.

Ryan - I get that. Your response just didn't seem to follow the verses posted by two.

2Ki 20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Did the lord not know that Hezekiah would repent, but yet he sent the prophet, so Hezekiah could choose or not choose, and Hezekiah and choose to seek the lord and plead his case and the lord heard his prayer and healed him.

2Ki 20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

2Ki 20:5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Did the lord change no!!

Hezekiah changed and the lord healed him.

It is not what God knows but who he is and his way of Doing things that is the issue.

So I will say it again the father by faith sees all of mankind saved.

Man has to do his part to receive the gift of salvation.

Ryan you missed something the tense of the word is past tense saved, note saves but saved.

The bible truth is man receives Jesus by faith, not by regeneration, mankind is born again by the word of God,
