Silly and Irrelevant Question?Posted : 7 Apr, 2011 05:06 AMI asked a question on another thread and was told is was silly and irrelevant. The question was : Is it likely that a man on a deserted island with only a Bible would come up with Calvinism, Tulip, The Doctrines of Grace, Reformation Theology (all the same thing). |

Silly and Irrelevant Question?Posted : 7 Apr, 2011 02:20 PMI think a lot of people would be different. There are a lot of ways a person could interpret the Bible. Of course, the person on the island might sooner use the Bible as a table for his food or as a firestarter to help keep him warm. The Bible won't necessarily mean much if you are going to freeze to death that night without warmth. |

Silly and Irrelevant Question?Posted : 7 Apr, 2011 03:17 PMI guess in your world James, there are those that are Calvinists, and then there are those that are Arminians, and if one doesn't agree with you but just happens to have a belief about something that aligns with an Arminian belief, then they are automatically Arminian? |
