When the motive for all of creation was love, do some want you to believe their opinion of love, in lieu of believing love and all that love has revealed to mankind in the person of the lord Jesus?

Why should anyone look to any other man, his opinion's, his theories, his systematic theology, when love said he is the way the truth, and the life.

Why do you want others to believe love is limited?

Why when love has always, desired willingness on behalf of his creation, do you want people to believe, that the creation is unable to be willing?

Why do you want others to believe love is a respecter of persons, when his love was given for all?

Why do you want others to believe your bad news, when his gospel is good news?

Why do you say love is not true, when love has said it is the truth?

Why do you think love inspired this Post?

All of those that put their faith in man's opinions and doctrine, please do not pollute the truth with your unbelief, for people's eternity is at stake!!

Presby & Sir James

You are again bearing fruit consistent with the history of Calvinism. Instead of affirming PJ's post, then bringing the balance you feel it lacks....What do YOU do? You set out to prove it wrong, call his theology "santa clause" theology. Your actions reveal much about what you really believe. However in your lust for Calvinism you place yourself in conflict with large portions of Scripture, using only portions of Scripture that are agreeable to Calvinism. What this effectively does is polarize. This is a profitable exercise for exegesis, however it is destructive to relationships in the body of Christ. Worse yet, it brings confusion and strife to those rooted in Christ who have not a working knowledge of the Scripture. It appears you place more value on doctrine than on people, even brothers and sisters in Christ.

To harmonize PJ's posts and yours is a simple matter of acknowledging the existence of "Tough Love" and a God who exercises Love from the perspective of eternity, a perspective we as mere humans see but dimly. Therefore who are we to judge which acts of God are couched in Love and which aren't. Are we not to trust the Scripture : "God is Love" and interpret all other Scripture in light of the Nature of God?

Sounds like some are ready to give this Clavin fellow his beautification for his good works; what are they, five points?

Drinking a little milk with meat may keep one from choking.

(Mat 18:3) And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Children need milk, hope and promise.

The thing that some of you missed was that God hates the sin but loves the sinner.

Both sides in this discussion only used what they want to use.

However, look at what I wrote again.

GOD HATES THE SIN, BUT LOVES THE SINNER.

Dennis the motive of this post was to lift up the truth, in the midst of all the death and lies, spoken about the lord, we know there is a hell and evil but the lord answered all that, and that is what people need to hear?

It is the Goodness of God that leads mankind to repentance.

It is not his will that any should and he made provision for all, and it is our responsibility to share it with all, what they do with it is between them and God.

Our message should be one of Life not death.
