Christian "concepts" not found in the biblePosted : 16 Dec, 2010 06:58 AMChristmas is not in the bible. It was actually derived from the pagan holiday saturnalia.More like, some of the less than true Christians of the time, were jealous that the pagans had a holiday(which was to worship the fake roman god saturn) and they didn't,so they came up with using Christ as an excuse to have a holiday.Giving gifts because the wise men gave them to Jesus, not a good excuse either, because the wise men didn't give gifts to each other, just to Jesus.I'm sure God would appreciate people stamping his son's name on a holiday so they didn't feel guilty. No,I've never seen Christmas in the Bible. |
