Luke 22:39-46, Mark 14:32-42, Luke 18:1-8, Luke 11:9-13, I John 5:14-15 Situations happen to each of us everyday. One day we will see the same situation and on that day, God will use it to speak to us. Its all about Prayer. 1) Pray When You Are Stressing About Something: Luke 22:30-46 Jesus had gone with the disciples to pray after His last supper and last hours on Earth. Jesus prayed to God about his up and coming betrayal and crucifixion. vs. 42 Jesus said for God to do His will and not Jesus� will . Yes, Jesus wanted the cup, the crucifixion to be taken away. But, He then said he wanted God to do His Will. We NEED to trust God. Trust that God knows ALL things. Trust that God knows what it takes to go from A to Z. We ask God to cure people, give us jobs and God says yes He will but He is taking us thru the situations so we will grow and get stronger. We don�t know the process people have to go thru�the A to Z. God knows this and God is in control of EVERYTHING!! *All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord* God knows He has to teach us stuff OR this time next year, we will be going thru the same thing again. So, God doesn�t fix it right away! Luke 22:44 Jesus was in agony/anguish and His sweat was as drops of blood. Jesus was in so much stress that his blood vessels burst and seeped thru his pores. There is a medical term for this condition. Jesus, when in tremendous stress, fell down on His knees and prayed. He kneeled down. The posture of kneeling down means we are turning everything�.EVERYTHING over to God. We know we are nothing without Him. We are submitting to God�s will.. We must never take our eyes off Jesus or we will sink like Peter did when walking on the water with Jesus. Whenever we are stressed out about something, we need to GET ON OUR KNEES AND PRAY!! God has something for us that we cannot get on our own. We have to go to Him. The reason that its impossible for us to get it ourselves, is that once God gives it to us, we CANNOT take credit for it!! Everyone will know that God gave it to us! 2) Nag God: Mark 14:32-42 We need to pray like we know WHO we are praying to. Its not the alarm clock that wakes us up. God does! Its not the starter that starts our car. God does! The clothes on our backs, our bills being paid, all this comes from God. Jesus prayed about what He was stressing about THREE times! vs. 41. He knew WHO he was praying to�God. We need to NAG God because He is the one who can do all things. Luke 18:1-8 Jesus told them this parable to ALWAYS PRAY! Don�t give up, nag God! In the parable, the judge got weary of the widow nagging him. The judge finally granted her wish. God, our judge, will NOT step out of his character to grant our wishes. So praying/nagging God for sinful things won�t work. But when its in God�s will, according to God�s promises and God�s character, then our prayers will get answered. And sometimes God does say NO! 3) God Does Answer Our Prayers: Luke 11:9-13 We should not stress out because in the end God will take care of us. Ask and it will be given, seek ye shall find it and the door will be opened for us. God loves us and will always care for our needs. *God has NO limitations on his resources!! *God has access to EVERYTHING and can give us what we need, want and desire!! *God speaks and IT IS!! *God made it ALL in six days and chilled out on the 7th day!! *NOTHING is impossible for God!! *God is a GREAT GOD!! I John 5:1-15 : And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us. And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. AMEN Post Reply

Posted : 22 Oct, 2010 09:40 AM You need to read your Bible Deborah then you would know like the rest of us who already know from reading our Bible that PJ is a false teacher. He is guided by Satan and he is the one attacking sound doctrine and preaching a different gospel, you are the one being decieved. Post Reply

You calling him one shows that you are the one deceived. When you call a man of God a false teacher, you are treading on dangerous ground! PJ :devil: is NOT a man of God! :ROFL: Not even close! :laugh: See somethings never change, just like in the garden the woman was the one being deceived like you are now. I understand you may have a crush on him and will say things to please. But it is not wrong to call out false teaching and teachers and that is PJ. He can't defend his twisted doctrine and I can take it apart easy with scripture and not twist it. Besides what good is a false teacher with out his decieved follower. We know who that is now. Besides you have prove to be the hypocrite with the MrRowyourboat comment. :boxing: I find that to be funny cause I don't think so highly of self. :bow: Post Reply

And who do you think I'm trying to please? You came up with pretty lame comments to attack me simply because I have discerned who the enemy is and have chosen to stand up for a man of God! I agree that false teachers need to be exposed but you need to re-read the sermon in this post and heed its message. PRAY ! Just because you have called a child of God a false teacher doesn't make it true. They did the same to JESUS.Until God shows me different, I will continue to respect P.J.for sharing the Word of God with us. His teachings have helped me and I havent seen one thing that wasnt TRUTH. What I HAVE seen is a constant attack on him from the devil! I love Jesus with all my heart and HE is the only one I try to please. You are protesting too much! Deborah Post Reply
