The 1st Law in the Genisis was...thou shalt not eat of The tree...here are the words of GOD...
Genesis 2 NKJV
8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
*** 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.
Genesis 3 NKJV
The Temptation and Fall of Man
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
*** 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.
The CURSE was and is DEATH...where did you come up with all the other stuff PJ ?...Did GOD say that ? Where in the Bible does GOD say that ? Are those His WORDS ?....:rolleyes:
Why would you even think I would post anything but the word of God that would be very irresponsible, it is never an opinion, or what any think, but only what Jesus said.
PJ: Why would you even think I would post anything but the word of God that would be very irresponsible, ...
Because you are the circle man easy to predict and hard to understand, and we don't have the gift of circular understanding and you never help us by answering our questions. (got a key board and no knowlage) Besides you are always very irresponsible with God's Word. Shame on you!!!
For those that find themselves always going in circles:
Number 1 you must come to the point of accepting the word of God as truth, all scripture is truth, inspired of God.
Number two you must believe scripture, there is no scripture for interpretation, believing is a choice always.
Number three the will of God is that all believers be baptized with the Holy Ghost, as in Acts one and two, it will always very very hard for a believer to know and understand God without the holy ghost.
I believe in the post about total depravity and total inability, a statement was made that none seek the lord, only The father seeks man. This statement was made to enforce the point of total depravity and total inability.
If you will look in the old testament you will find scripture after scripture where man sought the lord, that statement is a statement of darkness and there is no light in it.
PJ ~ you stated " The curse of the law was Spiritual death, material lack, financial poverty, and sickness "
This is not what GOD said...in Any Verse within the Genisis which states the First Covenant and Law of GOD...These words you use are yours not GOD's and are Your Interpetation of what GOD is saying...and then you Reply to me with Directing a Jump to another Section of the Bible and Word and then you reply to MrRow with... " Number two you must believe scripture, there is no scripture for ( interpretation, )...
Ima in Agreement with MrRow here and Ima call it as I see it and have been seeing it for some time now...If it Walks like a Duck and Quakes like a Duck...Its a Duck...:prayingf:...xo

I agree, even with the word accept.
PJ said: Number two you must believe scripture, there is no scripture for interpretation, believing is a choice always.
Now you are back in circle talk mode and I don't understand. (Do you even understand your own writing the way you write it?) What are you trying to saying here, that scripture "does not" interpret scripture? I disagree with that totally! Scriptures does indeed interpret scriptures! Or are you saying we to be mindless zombies when we read the bible and not try to find the interpretation? (I've seen you support that view)
PJ said: Number three the will of God is that all believers be baptized with the Holy Ghost, as in Acts one and two, it will always very very hard for a believer to know and understand God without the holy ghost.
I agree with what the Bible says about this, but I know what you say and I totally disagree with you and I do not have a problem saying, you are wrong.
You are so wrong in the last 2 comments that I will not waisting my time answering them other than to say, you are wrong! Again!
PJ I am so use to you being wrong it is not surprising and you still don't know, but others have come around trying refuting total depravity and I think most of those people just do not understand what total depravity means.
Now I am sure there are varying views out there on this but the way I understand total depravity; we are totally depraved from getting to heaven on our own merits. That if it were not for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, there would be no way we get to God, we are totally depraved from seeing Him because of our sinful nature, but only through the blood of Jesus do we get to the Father. Total depravity, means something outside of our self has to saves us or we are not saved.
Ok I'll answerer the last comment: God always does the seeking! And God is in total control!
