What Do You Mean, Born Again?Posted : 26 Aug, 2010 08:04 AMThe term Born Again is one of the most used phrase among present day religious people. Yet, if asked what the term Born Again means, ninety percent of the worlds church members could not give a clear explanation. The vital importance of this study is shown in that Jesus said, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). Here Jesus i saying that TO BE BORN AGAIN IS TO BE SAVED. Bein born again is the plan of salvation that Jesus authored at Calvary. It is imperative that we understand what is required for us to be born again! All agree that when Jesus went to the cross, he brought in the means of salvation for everyone who will accept it. But what really happened at Calvary? What can it do for me? How do I accept what was done there in my own personal life?!...... http://www.endtime.com/urgent-questions/ what-do-yo u-mean-born-again Looking for a church in your area? Please message me |

What Do You Mean, Born Again?Posted : 29 Aug, 2010 09:51 AMPJ -- You are saying that God's sovereignty is a doctrine of demons? Let me understand what you mean, because what has been set forth is basic Calvinism. If you say that is a doctrine of demons, then you are upholding the Armenian view -- that man can lose his salvation because he is able to jump out of the holy hand that holds him. I don't see how we have that kind of power, myself. But rather than attack other positions, I want to hear you make the case for man's freedom exceeding God's sovereignty. |

What Do You Mean, Born Again?Posted : 30 Aug, 2010 07:47 AMThis is what I don't understand about Calvinism...God is completely sovereign over every single thing that happens, but He is not able to cast an unfaithful servant out of His hand who continues in sin/unbelief? I don't consider myself an "Arminian", but I do believe in free will, and I do believe that it is possible to become a servant of God and then become unfaithful. The bible says it too much for it to be false. |

What Do You Mean, Born Again?Posted : 30 Aug, 2010 08:56 AMJust because someone claims to be saved or poses as a Christian for a little while doesnt mean they are saved. If they never were in the Fathers hand to begin with they can't get kicked out, fall out, jump out or use any other form of exit. If someone is putting on Jesus in expermental fashion to see if it gives them the buz like so many people say it does, they never had the true repentant heart that leads to Godly sorrow, that leads to salvation. They were never with us in the first place is how St. John puts it. |

What Do You Mean, Born Again?Posted : 30 Aug, 2010 02:44 PMYep! Jesus said, many will say on that day "LORD, LORD", they think they are saved. Jesus said, many are on the "wide path", that think they are saved, when they are really headed for destruction. Jews, Mormons, Muslims and Jehovah Witnesses think they are saved along with some other cults and fringe denomination. Believing in your own salvation means nothing. |
