Posted : 17 Aug, 2010 04:51 PM well I do appreciate comments this doctrine of the Bible is such a touchy area butt its nice to see alot of people have a hold on and some dont God is not a Indiana giver he doesnt give a gift we all can accept if we realize that we a sinners with no hope and on our way to HELL when a man or women comes to Christ for salvation He saves He does not give it to you one day and then because you Sin take it away another because then you would be trying to work your way to Heaven or be trying urself to be good or more like Christ but we no the only way possible to keep our self close to God and to be trying to be more like Him is to be yielded to the Holy Spirit! A person can certainly fall out of Fellowship with Christ but loose Salvation is unBiblical thats not saying you can go out and do whatever you want because a person will have to answer to God for that the sin debt we owe was paid in full by Jesus Christ Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10: 9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved Post Reply

Posted : 17 Aug, 2010 05:12 PM when you try and prove biblicaly that you can loose salvation you have to no the overal context of what the scriputre is saying there is eternal security in Christ and we must die to our self daily but Salvation is Eternal John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Is there anything we can do to lose our salvation? The answer is NO! Why? Because Scripture clearly affirms the fact we are protected by the power of God through faith. Faith brings us into a grace relationship with God as a gift of God through the merit of His beloved Son. We are saved by His record, not ours. 1 Peter 1:4-5 (King James Version) 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. The bible says there will be some that think they're saved, but He will tell them He never knew them. They worked miracles and cast out demons in Jesus name, bore fruits of the spirit, etc. Do you know you're saved, or are you one of those? Only presumption can tell, only by saying "I'm better, there's no way I'm one of those". Sounds like pride to me. 2 Tim 2:11-12 11It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.. :peace::peace: Post Reply

Posted : 18 Aug, 2010 07:44 AM Thy Word is Truth"Lie"Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For all those responding to this post, I would ask you how many parties does it take to make a covenant? Does God Do your part of the covenant? How can act as thought scriptures you choose are absolute truth, and those that you deny are not absolute truth. To those that believe the lord is a liar, where is your bible evidence to call him a liar and you the truth. If you oppose the word of God that is between you and the lord, but for those that beleive he is the truth, the way the life. 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; This is just as much the truth as any other scripture!! George And of course Hebrews 6 is concerning those that are saved. Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, The answer is in the word for those that err from the truth. Posted : 18 Aug, 2010 08:09 AM I dont I was simply asking is loosing your salvation true or untrue iam sorry if i was precieved another way I wanted to see is there really teaching in this day and age that people dont have eternal security in Jesus Christ I see that some people believe you can loose your salvation and as I do not, I do not think the Bible teaches in any way fashion or form that you can loose your salvation because like you said that would make God a liar and His word is true and there is eternal security in Jesus Christ ! By posting this I was hoping through the scriptures someone would be helped and wanted to see how many people believe you can loose your salvation. I guess I get fired up and excited on the word of God iam not prideful in anyway and I simply hate to see people believing in loosing salvation BECAUSE IT CANNOT HAPPEN THERE IS ETERNAL SECUIRITY IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST! Does Scripture not say He came to seek and to save that wich was lost? John 3:17 says For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
