Might I share what i believe the Lord has just revealed to me concerning John 3:1- 21
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Vs.3--Yeshua is giving to this Pharisee the condition to entering the Kingdom or rather the Kingship of God.
This condition is not predicated upon ones birth into the earthly realm of the Nation of Isreal.
But rather, upon one having to have been born again, or rather being born from above.
John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Vs.4--Nicodemus has a natural mind,not a spiritual mind ( 1st Corinthians 2;14-16)
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Vs.5-8--Yeshua tells Nicodemus that one must first be born of a woman(Flesh giving birth to flesh);
before one can be born of the Spirit (Spirit gives birth to spirit)and no one knows how this is accomplished.
John 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
John 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
John 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
John3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Vs.14--Yeshua,tells Nicodemus what will happen to Him:
And Yeshua compares the affects of His crucifixion with that of looking at the serpent on the pole, which Moses erected while the Judgement of God(venomous serpents)was poured out upon Israel.
Num 21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Num 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
Num 21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Vs.15--Whosoever here is refering to both Jew and Gentile.
In the mind of the Jews, being the CHOSEN people of God meant that, the earth was created for them only.
And all the people were created to serve the Jews.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Vs.16--Again Whosoever; Both Jew and Gentile.
GODS Messiah would be for both the Jews and the Gentiles
Yeshua is opening the door for the Gentiles to be entering into the Kingship of the God of Israel
This Kingship is a spiritual Kingship, and Nicodemus may not have been understanding this.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Again,both Jew and Gentiles.
Vs.17,Yeshua now breaks down all of the barriers between the Jews and the Gentiles, when He says,'That Whosoever'
believes shall be saved;as well as whosoever does not believe stands condemned.
Whosoever; The totality of man meaning, both Jew and Gentile, not every individual.
Remember in the mind of the LORD there was His chosen People Israel, and then there was everyone else.
Below is the Greek for the word 'World' #2889 Strongs and Thayers Greek.
kosmos
kos'-mos
Probably from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, that is, decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively [morally]): - adorning, world.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Vs.18--Here Yeshua now breaks down the whole of mankind to each individual, being referenced by the personal pronoun
'He', this would include woman also.
To the Lord,Nationality has no place within the Kingship of God,rather having faith in his Messiah, Yeshua only;
is what is required to enter into Gods Kingdom/Kingship.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Vs.19--Again men,the totality of mankind, both Jew and Gentile.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Vs.20 & 21--Again Yeshua addresses the condition and responsibility of each individual.
Maybe this might be of help,to understand What Yeshua/Jesus says about 'Whosoever, and 'He'.
I hope everyone will be Blessed of the Lord,in order to be a Blessing to those around us.
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Who was speaking, who was he speaking to, what was the subject, and why was it being discussed. Once again you have proven that you don't even know what context is.
Alright! Who is spelling context for PJ? LOL. What a joke!
The word is not a joke to those that believe, Leon I could write a list here of Calvinist replies to the word of God and what you just said was a very common one it is a statement they use in their defense, but not one they practice in believing the word of God, There is no Greater example of that, than the infamous quotes of Romans ch 9, totally out of context of who Jesus died for and who could be saved.
The ongoing quotes of God will have mercy on whom he will have mercy,
You do a study and see exactly what the bible teaches concerning the God and his mercies.
You mock me all you want but know you mock the lord continually, it is not my word it is his.
