The Failure of Faith...

There are some people who believe that faith is something that a person acquires on his/her own. But the sciprutres telss us that is not a truth.

In Romans chpater 12, we find that Paul tells us that God gives everyone, whether you are a saint or a sinner, God gives EVERYNONE a MEASURE OF FAITH: For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is amng you, not to think of him/herself more highly than he/she ought, but to think soberly, as God HAS DEALT TO EACH ONE A MEASURE OF FAITH.

Faith is indispensable, because it is impossble to please God without faith. Faith can be increased through trusting and believing God will do as He said he will do, the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith. Faith can be cultivated, through prayer, bible Study, reading the word, and the test of our trials and tribulations we endure and go through.

Before a person is saved(born again) he/she may have vain faith or belief in the wrong doctrine. A person may have dead faith, or belief in orthodox doctrine without personal belief in Jesus Christ.

After a person has been saved (born again), he/she may experience a kinf od unbelief, which many new believers experience when they fail to accept the whole work of Christ. They may experience little faith, which is a mixture of faith and unbelief. The person may experience weak faith, which is expressed thorugh their legalistic beliefs. And then you have those who have strong faith, that is rooted and gorunded in the promises of God without doubt.

All believers shoould seek to grow in their faith, because faith is a continual growing process in order to reach spiritual maturity as Christians. Abraham was justifed by God because he truested and believed the promises of God, and it was his faith tha God God would do what he had promised to do, and this was counted righteous before God.

How strong or weak is your faith? Or do you feel that you have no faith to trust and believe God with long suffering, until whatever you're trusting God to do for you will come to pass in due season?

PJ the 12 went out and minnistered to many. When they came back they said they could not cast out a demon.Jesus said you of little faith had you fasted and prayed you could have done this thing.

The bible did not have chapters and verses at the time of Jesus. That was added later on.So, I expect people to know that story. It is in the gospels. Also when I write here it is at my parents home.I do not carry my bible here. So, I write by memory. You should have already known this thing. I have been taught these things and read these stories for years.

What is the problem here????????

How can you not know this?

it is in the word.:peace:

I have heard manysermons over the years on both the post in this topic here I have wrote on.

have not you heard it to at your church?

I answered your questions here answer mine.

Thank you very much.

Dennis

I do know these things, but we obviously know Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God, there are some on this site that pray and read and have no faith, so there has to be more to it.

The answer is in what you said, I never implied works, why would you bring that up, faith is inherit, or in every word of God.

if we want to know how to feed, grow and develop our faith we only need to study the word of God concerning faith.

Jesus taught all that will believe.

It must be understod that God is no respecter of person, which means that He gives to all of us the same blessings, and opportunities to be His children or not to be His children.

PJ, please know that, A person can have FAITH without BELIEF. A person can believe in God and not have faith to receive the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As many people to today, and as the Jews did in the Bible.

Jesus even tells us in matthew chapter 5 that God allows His sun (and SON) to shine upon the evil people, and upon the good, and He sends the rain upon the just and the unjust. He is an equal opportunity God.

Faith, as I said can be increased, and Faith can be cultivated otherwise, how can you grwo spiritually into a mature Christian if your faith isn't growing. Therefore, fAITH can grow. God takes us from faith to faith, and from glory to golry depending on how we have allowed our faith to go through the process of developing. Paul even points this out throughout his writings the importance of developing or growing your faith in order to spiritually mature and receive God's blessings and knowledge and wisdom in the things of God, if we are to live by faith.PLEASE READ Romans Chapter 1.

There are about six levels of faith the Bible teaches us and I will outlined them for you and those who do not know.:

(1) The Bible teaches us about Doctrinal Faith which is the faith we gather from the teachings of Christian beliefs.

(2) The Bible teaches us about Saving Faith, which is the kind of faith a person needs to trust in Christ and Him alone for salvation.

(3) The Bible teaches us about Justifying Faith, which the kind of faith we as believers must have to depend and trust God and take Him at His word of keeping His promises to us, because of His righteousness and what He did for us through Jesus Christ.

(4) the Bible teaches us about us about our Indewlling Faith, which is the faith we need to trust God's Word to work thorugh us as believers.

(5) The Bible teaches us about the kind of faith we need in order to walk in our Daith faith, which the faith we need and should use day to day in our Christian wlak and life knowing that we have been sanctified by the Holy Spirit to live a life style pleasing to God as we go about each day.

(60 The Bible teaches us about the Gift of Faith which is the kind of faith God empowers a person with in order to receive and believe in the visions and prophecies He gives them, and to do as God leads them to do to fulfill the vision and the work in the ministry He calls us to do, knowing that its of God.

Everybody does not experience the same kind of, or levels of faith, because many are not working toward increasing or cultivating their measure of faith God has given them through Bible study, prayer, endurance, or even witnessing to others about what God has done for them with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Faith is not just something for believers, faith is for sinners as well, and God has indeed given ALL His creations a certain measure of faith whether one uses it with wisdom its thier choice.

I know who faith is for, but is not automatic in anyone's life, Faith is always man's response to the word, and no there is no scripture for teaching people are given levels of faith, faith can grow just like any other fruit.

We are talking about bible faith I assume.

When you think about it, the circle could be considered the most exhausting shape. Squares and triangles sit so nicely. But not the circle. The circle rolls around over and over. Goes around forever. Ad nauseam. But enough friction could stop a circle from rolling around the same path forever. Newton's first law of motion explains that the circle will roll on forever in the absence of friction or an outside force...
