AND MRS. JOB SPOKE....

We are all familiar with the story of Job. He (and his wife)suffer deeply. They lose everything they have, including their 10 children. Then on top of that, Jobs body gets smoted with sore boils...

Job2:9 (KJV)

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Why would the wife of Job speak like this?

I agree that man has a free will and left a lone not one single person would ever choose God. So what does God do about it? He brings to Himself those He has choosen so we may believe.

The trigger is the "foolishness of preaching":rocknroll:

1 Corinthians 1:21-31 (King James Version)

18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

manofGod I commend you for doing research on this topic but when using someone else's work can you please give them the credit.

Not giving them the credit is similar to someone taking your paycheck at the end of the week. You did all the work but they get paid.

@Donthit

Go on please.... she lost her children and....

@pixy

I understand what you mean but why would she want her husband dead? Could she not live with him when he would be cured?

@PhilipJohn

In Job, the satan has been granted power by the LORD himself. But what does it have to do with what Jobs wife says? Is she possessed by satan, like DarrylO states?

@DarrylO

free will and God.... I agree fully.... so what is the connection with the words of mrs. Job?

@SOS- Good question... Maybe she just felt such despair. I think when we lose sight of God's sovereignty, things really start to seem hopeless... It gets really difficult to see that light at the end of the tunnel. And maybe she thought that the calamity was Job's fault and that if he was dead, she would prosper. Maybe? Just a thought...

@Steve- Actually, I pointed it out to InHisHonor. I mentioned to him that it didn't seem like your own writing and that it was plagiarism if that was true. So, he researched it and discovered that it was taken from another site/person and decided that it should be addressed (because it is serious and you could get in trouble for it, and we don't want to see that happen). To be honest, I've observed you doing this before, as well. While there's nothing wrong with you using someone else's words (as long as you're not violating copyright), it does need to be clear that you're quoting them v. that you're the original author.

Well as you all, know with all respect your faith is in a man, I do not need to study that, I already know it,

Jesus is the way,the truth, the life there is no other name.

Now in all humility I say this to all calvinist, it is out of order to believe what you believe as you believe it, and it is a greater wrong to try and push your beliefs on others, that is not a sin you want to hold.

There are two changes that are necessary to correct any unbelief

Whoever must come to God and believe that he is, and he is a re warder of them that diligently seek him, you will never find his truth seek another and following history

You must accept his word as absolute truth

You must receive The Gift of The Holy Spirit in line with Scripture, to live that life that he has for all mankind, it is impossible to know him and not accept these two simple truths.

Now To make sure it is clear, The word of God is not me, it is him.

He said the present world was Satan's When Jesus was on the earth not me, and not only that he said mankind was under the dominion of Satan not Phillip.

I have said my peace now please don't try to build strife, I am not trying to change what you believe, but as a christian I will lift up the lord. That is my privelge.

manofGod, as an artist I have had my work stolen from me so plagiarism hits close to home. I have never claimed to be perfect, as you suggest, and I wasn't trying to discredit you. Actually when you decided to plagiarize you discredited yourself.

You did a good thing in finding a source that explained what is being discussed. I have found things from sites many times that explains things much better that I could but next time just say something like, "I found this on a site and I thought it explained it well"
